WWE Slammy Awards 2012 announced for 'Monday Night Raw' on Dec. 17

With just three episodes of Monday Night Raw remaining before the year is out, WWE has formally announced when it will hold its annual Slammy Awards for 2012.

They'll take place on next week's (Dec. 17) edition of Raw at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That's just one night removed from the TLC pay-per-view (PPV) in Brooklyn and the big kickoff to the so-called "WWE Week" on USA.

The gimmick for this year's awards is different than any other. This year, the winners will be determined solely on fan vote. Why?

Now, onto the categories you will be asked to vote on. Already you can post nominations for each category either on WWE.com (here) or on Twitter (of course) using hashtags.

- Superstar of the Year
- Breakout Star of the Year
- Trending Now Award - (Hashtag of the Year)
- Comeback of the Year
- Kiss of the Year
- "Tell me I did NOT just see that" - (The Most Shocking Moment of the Year)
- LOL Moment of the Year
- Match of the Year
