Beth Phoenix was "fired" from WWE last night (Oct. 29, 2012) in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday Night Raw. This was expected, as she's apparently dealing with burnout and a plethora of issues at home, including her boyfriend, Adam Copeland, getting serious neck surgery here shortly.
After she was fired on TV, she gave an exit interview of sorts to WWE.com that doubled as a going away promo. Here's the text:
"You know it's going to take a little time to process this ... but I don't know if there's any way to appeal but if this really is it for me in WWE, if this is the end of my career, I guess I just have to say thank you to the WWE Universe. Everybody that's had a hand in my career and everything that they've taught me and I've gotten to do here in the WWE to live my dream, everything I've wanted to do since I was a little girl and I was a fan of the WWE. Like I said, I guess what's more important than how I'm remembered by the WWE Universe is how I remember all of them. I've had awesome memories, I've been all over the world, I've met some of the coolest people, and I've just had the opportunity to live my childhood dream. How many people can say that?
"I would definitely say that if this is the end of the road for me in WWE that I'm really, really proud of my career and I hope that everybody else that's been entertained and had the chance to sit out there and watch me do my thing, I hoped they've enjoyed it and taken something away from it whether you love or hate me.
"So if this is it, gosh, I don't know what's next but I promise you haven't seen the last of Beth Phoenix."
How long until she's back with the company, Cagesiders?
