WrestleMania 29 results: Triple H pins Brock Lesnar

Triple H put his career on the line in his match against Brock Lesnar tonight (Sun., April 7, 2013) at WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. But would he actually do the job in the rematch?

Triple H put his career on the line in a No Holds Barred match against Brock Lesnar as one of the co-main event matches at tonight's (Sun., April 7, 2013) WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view (PPV) event at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He did so with his old running buddy, Shawn Michaels, in his corner.

And with his having done the job for Lesnar at SummerSlam last year, many felt he would forgo doing it again in favor of getting his win back, even if it was the right thing to do from the business perspective.

Ding ding ding.

They spent the first half of the match with Lesnar basically just throwing Triple H around like a rag doll. Actually, that's how nearly the entire match went, with the Brockness Monster absolutely having his way "The Game" all around the ring and on the outside. He put him through the Spanish announce table that didn't break during the Undertaker vs. CM Punk match (see the GIF here), used the steel ring steps to batter him, and even botched a Pedigree at one point.

All just so Lesnar could look strong on his way to doing the job and giving "The Cerebral Assassin" his win back.

It did take three separate kimura locks, a sledgehammer shot to the head, and a pedigree on the steel steps, in fairness. But Michaels involvement was only to get hit with an F-5 midway through and to hit the Sweet Chin Music on Paul Heyman before he could help Lesnar during the ending sequence.

And there you have it.
