Mick Foley wants to make WWE look stupid for not airing his Hall of Fame induction speech

WWE may not be airing Mick Foley's Hall of Fame induction speech on USA this coming Tuesday night and if that's the case, he wants to make them look as stupid as possible for doing so.

The current television line-up for the WWE Hall of Fame special set to air on Tues., April 9, 2013, at 10 p.m. ET on USA features Bruno Sammartino, Trish Stratus, and Donald Trump. Bruno is the headliner, so of course he gets a spot, but the other two?

Perhaps it has something to do with Stephanie and Vince McMahon having been chose as the two to induct them. Or Trump is a bigger television draw than the other three members of the class, Booker T, Bob Backlund, and Mick Foley.

That's right, folks, "The Hardcore Legend," who was going to headline the class if Sammartino didn't reach an agreement with WWE, has been relegated to the DVD. And you could argue that was done to help push DVD sales but that's nonsense because the Hall of Fame ceremony always comes as part of the package with that year's WrestleMania home release.

For his part, Foley was bitter when learning he may not make television but has since resolved to make WWE look stupid if that is indeed what they decide to do.

From his Twitter:

I'm in a much better frame of mind after watching my new DVD with my kids. I have SO much to be proud of. No way I'll give fans anything less than the best possible speech I can. And if the powers-that-be decide not to air my speech on television, I'll accept that it was a simply a decision that was beyond my control, and do everything I can - through the passion for my profession - to make that decision look as glaringly stupid as possible.

That's the spirit!
