When it was announced by WWE that Trish Stratus would be a member of the Hall of Fame class 2013, the former women's champion -- yes, they used to call them "women" instead of "Divas" -- put up a poll on her website asking fans who they thought should be chose to induct her.
Lita, a good friend of hers and a chief rival, won in a landslide. Not long after, Stratus said she agreed with her fans and it seemed the choice was made.
However, in a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Trish revealed Lita will, in fact, not be inducting her and she's got someone special that will be announced soon enough:
It has been widely rumoured that Stratus's close friend Lita would be inducting her. That's not the case, Stratus said.
"I have someone and you'll just have to wait," she said with a laugh.
"That's obviously been swirling around," she said of the Lita speculation. "It was a difficult choice. There's a number of people that have really, really impacted my career. In my speech, you'll know the choice I made is very clear. But you'll know soon enough."
For the record, the other choices given in the poll on her website were:
- Stephanie McMahon
- Fit Finlay
- Vince McMahon
- Christian
- Tensai
- Lilian Garcia
- Snooki
Any guesses?
