Stu Bennett hunts Vinnie Jones in ‘I Am Vengeance’ sequel

Stu Bennett (fka Wade Barrett) is back as John Gold in I Am Vengeance: Retaliation.

If you are like me, then any action movie with a wrestler as the star will pique your interest. Same for Vinnie Jones. I Am Vengeance: Retaliation has both, so let’s check out the trailer.

Yep, I’m in. The fist fight tease between Bennett and Jones delivers the goods. The sound effect montage of different action scenes reminds me of the old Batman TV show with words such as sock, pow, zock, whap, biff, and ooof.

I Am Vengeance: Retaliation is a sequel to 2018’s I Am Vengeance. I saw the first one when it came out, and I was happily surprised that it turned out to be an interesting noir action movie. I vaguely remember the plot as a mystery man returning to his hometown after the death of a friend. Of course, that led to high kill count. Yes! The sequel seems to be straight action and misses the ladies man vibe of Bennett’s character in the original.

Due to enjoying the first installment, I’ve been very curious about the sequel ever since Bennett posted the movie poster.
