While I was hoping for some better over-the-top action movie cheeseball lines for The Lunatic Fringe, the initial trailer for his WWE Studios/LionsGate debut is only a minute and a half long. Assuming that 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown is at least the 90 minutes that IMDB reports is as, there's plenty of time for Dean Ambrose to find his own version of John McClane's "yippee-kai-aye" or John Matrix's "Let off some steam".
Though we have to wait until September 11, 2015 for the flick to hit "limited theaters", Video On Demand and DVD, now we have something more than a poster from which to fantasy book all of our Ambrose-centric B-movie dreams.
Here's the studio's description of the sequel to John Cena's Lockdown and Randy Orton's Lockdown 2: Reloaded (reviews for which you can find here and here thanks to Cagesider ThingsandStuff!):
Ambrose plays Shaw, a detective that returns to active duty after the death of his partner. When he uncovers evidence linking his fellow officers to a murder, they frame him for a homicide he didn't commit. Trapped in his own precinct, Shaw will do whatever it takes to expose the dirty cops and clear his name. With twelve rounds in the clip and one shot at redemption, nothing will stand in Shaw's way in this action-packed thriller.
Like what you see? Who's got one more round for Dean?
