We're nearing the release of what Marvel hopes will be a summer blockbuster hit, Guardians of the Galaxy, scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on Fri., Aug. 1, 2014. It's relevant in this space because Batista, who plays Drax the Destroyer, just quit WWE to run off to do promotional work for the film, one that could feasibly turn him into a legitimate action movie star.
You never know.
It's expected Batista will be back around SummerSlam but, if this movie is as big as many are forecasting it to be, don't expect him to actually go away. He'll be all over the place hyping this film, likely including appearances on the talk show circuit where he can face the same criticism The Rock did for whether or not he bothers to mention WWE.
