Viewership numbers are in for last night's episode of TNA Impact and unfortunately those numbers continue to trend in the wrong direction. Last night, viewership was back under the 300K mark, falling to 280K from 303K. Numbers have not been this low since April 5 when they did about 270K but that episode had a replay soon after the original that helped bolster the total numbers for that night.
Once again, Impact had nothing concrete advertised asides from saying they would follow up some stories they've been telling. And this was an episode that actually ended up having three unannounced title matches (and the recurrence of multiple incarnations of Jeff Hardy's alter ego Willow.) This is clearly not the direction they want viewership to head only a month out from one of their few yearly Pay Per Views Slammiversary this summer.
Impact has already announced that Drew Galloway will defend his title against Bobby Lashley next week so we will keep an eye out to see if that helps bolster the slumping ratings. If not, maybe they can add a couple more Willows.
Here are the numbers from the last month:
- May 3: 303,000
- April 26: 332,000
- April 19: 312,000
- April 12: 286,000
You can read the result to last night's show here.
