Rumors have been circulating recently that TNA is close to being sold to Anthem Sports & Entertainment and now PW Insider is reporting that’s exactly what’s happening. Further, an announcement of as much is expected to come as soon as Jan. 1, 2017, when the deal becomes official.
Just last week, the company announced tapings for Impact in January. A meeting with the entire crew is expected at those tapings, per the report, where everyone will likely get word on just what’s going on as the promotion moves into the future.
No word on what this means for Dixie Carter, though we’ll surely be told once the announcement is made. Rumors suggested she will (finally) be out of power once this all comes to pass.
As for those reports of Jeff Jarrett being in talks with TNA, PW Insider notes that’s still ongoing but there doesn’t seem to be a deal in place just yet.
