TNA planning a week of Impact tapings in early January 2017

Fitting that Matt Hardy would become one of the hottest acts in Impact Wrestling history, as TNA continues to be the promotion that will not die.

After weeks of increasingly dire financial reports and a major legal battle which led almost everyone to think that surely, this was the time Dixie Carter couldn’t “kick out”... the company is getting ready for their next round of tapings in Orlando during the first week of January.

Per PWInsider, TNA will film material for Impact, Xplosion and their pay-per-view (PPV) One Night Only specials at Universal Studios from Weds., Jan. 4 - Tues., Jan 10. Plans call for at least two of those dates to include two tapings (for example, an afternoon and evening show), which should provide enough footage to fill Thursday nights on POP TV through the end of March 2017.

There will be a gap in the Impact schedule after the Hardy-themed “Total Nonstop Deletion” episode on Dec. 15, so TNA fans should expect a couple of compilation shows to wrap up 2016.

But that’s much better than thinking the company might cease to exist after next week’s episode from the Impact Zone, as it looked might be the case when there were reports they didn’t even have money to film Matt’s next masterpiece in Cameron, so...
