TNA spoilers (Oct. 6 - Oct. 13): Turns and turmoil at the top

After the latest round of fears the company would be shut down due to financial issues, it’s business as usual down at the Impact Zone this week for TNA wrestling.

And by that I just mean they are taping episodes of Impact Wrestling from Oct. 3 - 8, but if you saw the major news from Monday night’s action, you may have a different interpretation of “business as usual”.

There was much more besides the controversial title change that went down on the Universal Studios backlot on Oct. 3, however. Here’s what we know about the action which should make up this week and next’s episodes on Pop TV:

- Jade def. Laurel Van Ness in a match for Xplosion; Madison Rayne was on commentary

- “Fact of Life” got a new set. Eli Drake’s first guest was Ethan Carter III. The pair had a war of words which looks to set-up a program between them.

- All the champions came out to the ring and put over their division. Billy Corgan comes out with his muscle, Aiden O’Shea (Jay Bradley) for an announcement. The President declared each would be defending their belt on this episode (Oct. 6), except for DJ Z, because there’s a Team X Gold match next...

- DJ Z, Mandrews & Braxton Sutter def. Marshe Rockett, Andrew Everett & Trevor Lee

- Cody (Rhodes) promo where he revealed he’s getting a World title shot. Mike Bennett & Maria interrupt and end up brawling with Cody & Brandi. The grandson of a plumber says before he fights for the title, he wants a match with Miracle for next week.

- A no-DQ rematch between Maria & Knockouts champ Gail Kim is announced.

- Kim def. Sienna to retain her title. Sienna, Laurel & Maria beat down the champ afterwards; Allie refuses to join the heels.

- Aron Rex def. Baron Dax via second round submission to retain the Grand championship

- Lashley is given the choice to defend his World title against EC3, Moose or Eddie Edwards. He picks Eddie, saying he’s the easiest to beat.

- Edwards wins. Several guys come out from the back to celebrate with him.

- DJ Z defeats Rockett to retain his X-Division title

- Cody defeats Bennett

- Rex def. Jessie Godderz via 3rd round pinfall to retain the Grand championship. Reports indicate the former Damien Sandow cut corners to win and may be turning heel.

- Edwards was out for a promo when Lashley showed up and started to kick his ass. EC3 and Moose made the save.

- Maria loses her rematch as Gail Kim retains the KO’s title. Kanellis also learns she’s no longer in charge of the Knockouts division - unclear if that was a stipulation or a separate announcement.

- Cody’s title shot against Edwards is announced for “next week” (likely Oct. 20)

- Moose defeats EC3
