TNA Impact is back tonight (Oct. 20, 2016) from Orlando, Florida and will be airing on Pop TV at 8 EST. This is your spot for the live updates and to talk about it with your fellow fans.
Tonight Cody Rhodes will face Eddie Edwards for the TNA championship. Also, Bobby Lashley will face Moose in a #1 contenders match and the Tribunal will face the Broken Hardys!

Cody Rhodes/Eddie Edwards segment
The show opens with Cody Rhodes. He talks about tonight will be one of the moments that he left his former employer for - competing for the TNA heavyweight championship. He tells a story about when he was 15 years old and he first told his dad that he wanted to be a pro-wrestler and Dusty turned to him and said "OK, but only if you're the best." And being the best means being the World Heavyweight Champion.
Eddie Edwards music plays. He comes out and tells Cody he respects him - his legacy, his journey, and the choices that found him in TNA. He asked Cody if he truly knows who he (Cody) is. After giving a cute Ric Flair-esque answer, he says that Eddie will find out tonight when he wins tonight.
Eddie says it's not when but only if. Eddie says he's here to prove that he deserves to be here and if he needs to beat Cody to prove that, then he will.
Lashley's music plays and the former champ comes down to the ring. He says he sees the future - the future guy who's going to get their asses kicked by Bobby Lashley for the TNA title. Moose's sweet music hits and he slowly walks down to the ring for his match against Lashley.
Moose vs. Lashley to become #1 contender
Lashley hits a suplex to start but Moose completely no sells it and follows up with some strikes and then a big drop kick to Bobby. They fight onto the outside, where it's the former champion who is able to take advantage.
Back in the ring, Lashley maintains control on the bigger Moose using his power. However, a drop kick to Lashley as he was on the top rope sends the Destroyer outside the ring! And the Moose follows up with a dive over the top rope! Back in the ring, he hits a powerbomb and a senton but Lashley kicks out.
He goes for his discus clothesline, but Lashley hits a spinebuster for a 2 count. Lashley keeps the offense on Moose, hitting a superplex from the second rope -- but Moose is up right away! Spear from Moose! Kick out Lashley!
Both men are up trading shots in the middle of the ring. Moose goes for the clothesline but Lashley ducks and hits his spear! Kick out Moose! Lashley sets up for the spear this time but Moose tosses him in the corner and hits his discuss clothesline. Lashley kicks out at 2!
Moose continues taking it to Lashley, who is out on his feet. He puts Bobby on the top rope to set up the Go to Hell... but Lashley pushes him off.... spear from the top rope! 1-2-3!
Lashley def. Moose to become #1 contender

Backstage, JB interviews the Tribunal. They said they attacked the Hardys to get the attention of Billy Corgan.
They are cut off by the promo by the hacker like trio who says chaos arrives tonight.
They play a Tyrus Fixer ad.
Face of Life with Eli Drake
I think they've added a canned audience track!
He introduces his guest for tonight: Aron Rex. Rex talks about how much the Grand Championship means to him. Drake tells him he didn't care for him when he got here, but he respects the fact that he did what he had to do to win the title and what he had to do to keep it, even against Jessie Godderz last week.
When discussing Jessie, he said he'd dumb it down and speak Jersey, which Drake gets a laugh from. Drake reminds everyone that he is Bound for Gold.
Rex then asks Drake a question: If Drake is Bound for Gold where does that leave someone like EC3? Drake says that EC3 is bound for the dumpster - he's a waste of potential.
EC3 comes out but the show security stops him and they throw up a technical difficulties sign!
After break, EC3 remains in the ring, saying that as soon as he can, he's going to destroy his set. Carter then challenges him to a fight. And all Drake needs to do his press the Dummy Button... which Drake does over and over. Carter leaves the ring and makes his way over to the set, and the two men start brawling!
Put Rex tries to break i tup and gets nailed by EC3, so Rex attacks Carter! Full heel! Then Jessie Godderz runs out to get some of Rex and they're all pulled apart.

Reby Hardy plays out Matt Hardy and Brother Nero, including Brother Nero sing the Obsolete song about the Tribunal.
In the ring, Matt says what the Tribunal did last week looked like two wicked men trying to take food off the plates of their children. Because of that, they are sentenced to deletion!
The Tribunal vs. the Broken Hardys
The Hardys have control of Baron Dax early, but Dax is able to turn the tide and Matt becomes the broken face in peril.
Jeff gets the tag in and goes to work on Dax. The brothers try some poetry in motion, but Dax pushes Jeff off and starts unleashing some fists on Nero. Now Jeff is the Hardy in trouble with the Tribunal working the quick tags.
Matt finally gets the tag and starts with biting the hell out of Basile Baraka. With blood dripping from his lips, he hits a bulldog for a nearfall. Then he hits a Side Effect for a 2 count. He goes for the Twist of Fate but Dax runs in and nails Matt with a Clothesline. The land a double team but Matt is able to kick out.
Dax gets a Twist of Fate from Jeff. Baraka gets the same, and then another from Broken Matt, who picks up the win.
The Broken Hardys def. the Tribunal
As they are leaving, the lights go out. When they come back on the three masked men are beating the hell out of the Tribunal! The Hardys watch with intrigue and the new group points at them.
Backstage, Allie is in the mirror practicing a speech to Maria telling her how she doesn't like how she's been treated lately. Braxton Sutter comes in and asks if she's OK. Sutter says he doesn't think Allie is to blame for any of this. Laurel Van Ness comes in and tells Sutter that he doesn't need to pretend to be nice to her. She sends Allie to Maria and then tells Sutter he looks good and they should work out together.
They play yet another Fixer ad.
They play another Chaos message, who says the first attack is just the first. We won't know who or when, but they're here to stay.
Lashley comes up to Cody backstage saying there's a lot of pressure on him tonight. But he doesn't see the hype. Cody reminds him that Eddie Edwards has beaten him. Lashley says Cody best watch his mouth or he may not make it to the ring tonight. And even if they don't meet next week, their paths will cross sooner than later.
Maria/Allie/Laurel Van Ness segment
Maria, Laurel Van Ness, & Allie walk to the ring. Maria talks about a conspiracy against her because she thinks TNA can't handle the truth: that she's the greatest Knockout in the history of the division. She then lays full blame on Allie.
Maria mocks Allie and continues to lay blame on her. Maria debates getting ride of her but LVN says she shouldn't because who else is going to carry their bags or get their food. Maria says she wants Allie to take blame and apologize.
But Allie refuses! She says it's Maria who is to blame, which the crowd loves. Maria is pissed! And then LVN attacks her from behind! She beats her up and leaves her laying! Maria then tells Allie is going to have a match with LVN next week!
Lashley rolls up to Eddie Edwards backstage. He tries to play the mind games, but Edwards isn't having it. He tells Bobby he's not afraid of him. Lashley tells him he should be.
Fixer Tyrus is with Mahabali Shera. He says first, no dancing. And now he's going to treat him how to fight. And he has handpicked for him one of the greatest Impact stars to test his skills.
Backstage, EC3 is with Jessie Godderz and they challenge Rex and Drake to a tag next week.
The Miracle Mike Bennett (w/Maria) vs. Mahabali Shera
Miracle has his music this week.
Bennett starts off some chops and kicks but they aren't doing much against Shera. Shera responds with a power slam. However, Miracle clubs him from behind and gets on the offense.
Shera gets going and eventually locks in a bear hug, but Miracle rakes the eyes and is able to hit the MIP for the 1-2-3.

DJ Z/Rockstar Spud segment
McKenzie Mitchell interviews DJ Z asking about Team X Gold. Z says it's bringing different philosophies and styles to see who is the best.
Rockstar Spud comes out and asks why he wasn't included. Z says it's because nobody likes him. Spud said that he has a team of his own that he'll reveal next week.
Cody Rhodes (w/Brandi) vs. Eddie Edwards for the TNA heavyweight championship
There's a handshake to start things off.
Things are very even to start off that ends in a stand off as Impact goes to break.
It looks even when they go back, but Edwards soon hits a Shining Wizard on Cody. Cody comes back with some chops and an arm bar onto the champ. Edwards gets his foot on the rope to break the hold.
Cody takes a kick that lands him on the outside and Edwards follows up with a suicide dive. He slides Cody back in the ring but as he's following him, Cody nails the Beautiful Disaster Kick and then spring boards onto the top rope and flies on to Edie outside.
Cody starts fighting Eddie on the ramp. He delivers Edwards back to the ring... goes for a springboard but Eddie moves out of the way. Edwards then sets Cody up for the chin checker and nails it, but Cody kicks out.
Edwards goes to the top rope but Cody meets him and hits a muscle buster! Two count! Rhodes then sets up for the American Nightmare submission but Eddie kicks him off. They then exchange shots in the middle of the ring.
Cody hits a superplex on Eddie and then moves his feet up for momentum to get up. However, Eddie locks his feet into Cody's, turning it in a pin for the 1-2-3.
Edwards def. Cody to retain the TNA title
They shake hands at the end of match. Eddie leaves Cody in the ring with the fans. As Brandi is about to get in the ring, Maria runs down and tosses her into the ring steps! She retreats after and she and the Miracle laugh at the Rhodes from the entryway.
