TNA Impact is back tonight (Oct. 13, 2016) from Orlando, Florida and will be airing on Pop TV at 8 EST. This is your spot for the live updates and to talk about it with your fellow fans.
Tonight is Cody Rhodes’ first match in TNA and it’s against the Miracle Mike Bennett. Also, Gail Kim will defend her Knockouts title against Maria Kanellis in a no DQ match, Aron Rex will defend the Grand Championship against Jessie Godderz, and DJ Z will defend his X Division title against newcomer Marshe Rockett. Plus, the Hardy’s will let us know what’s next for them.

Results
Eddie Edwards/Bobby Lashley segment
The show opens with new TNA champion Eddie Edwards. The title looks good on him.
He talks about how it doesn't feel real to him still. He thanks his fans and friends. He doing a promo while chewing gum by the way. He tells Bobby Lashley that he knew he could beat him and he did just that. He says he's here because he's never given up and now he's going to represent TNA to the bet of his ability. The champ says he'll give Lashley another match to prove it wasn't a fluke.
Lashley's music hits and the former champ walks to the ring with a purpose. There's no words, Lashley just starts punching Edwards. He then straight up chokes a man. Eddie tries to fight back, but it's short lived. The former champ hits a spear on Edwards, laying him out.
Lashley says he wants his rematch right now and calls for a referee. When no one comes down, Bobby goes and grabs a steel chair, but then Moose and EC3 run down for the save and stare him off. Lashley leaves and they help Eddie up.

Backstage, the Tribunal is looking for Billy Corgan. They find Aiden O'Shea who tells them they need to make an appt. O'Shea tells them they haven't been too impressive lately and that's coming from the boss. Aiden tells them they're on the bubble so they should do something pretty impressive.
JB interviews Corgan, says that Lashley's automatic rematch is gone because he blatantly attacked Eddie Edwards. Now he's going to have to earn it by facing the winner of tonight's main event. He hasn't figured out who that is yet.
Aron Rex (c) vs. Jessie Godderz for the Grand Championship
Round One: Jessie starts out trying to use some mat based wrestling . Rex returns the favor with a headlock on the mat. Godderz reverses it into a headlock of his own. This continues to be an even round of chain wrestling and rest holds.
Jessie Godderz wins the round by unanimous decision
Round Two: Rex comes out trying some small package roll ups but Jessie is back with a side headlock. Rex fights back but the round still seems to be controlled by Godderz. Jessie fights out of a submission by Rex and locks in the Adonis Crab! Rex struggles and finally makes the match. At one minute, Jessie is clearly winning this round.
Rex gets an armbar hooked in twoards the end of the match. The men exchange elbows as the round ends.

Round Three: Once again, the men trade wrestling maneuvers. The announcers point out that Rex needs to win by pinfall or submission to win the match. Aron is clearly frustrated on the outside.
Once again, they go back to chain wrestling. Rex eventually hits Godderz with a big elbow, which knocks him out of the ring. Jessie takes his time entering the ring, milking the clock. When Godderz finally does, Rex delivers a somewhat cheap kick to the face and the spinning elbow.

The crowd was booing Rex at the end.

Lashley leaves Billy Corgan's office. O'Shea asked him what they talked about. The former says that he and Corgan came to a surprise and a couple guys will be in for a surprise tonight.
Backstage, the Broken Hardyz are talking about their relationship. Jeff says that he has repaid Matt for his past transgressions. Matt says he still doesn't want Brother Nero on the ladder. Jeff starts to climb it and Matt makes him get down. The Broken One says he'll let us know what's next for them.
Backstage, Maria is with Allie. She asks where Laurel and Sienna is. Allie tells Maria that she got an e-mail saying that Allie, Laurel, and Sienna are all banned from ringside. Maria is pissed that she's just hearing about it. Allie says she has a great idea - how about Maria win the match on her own! Kanellis is shocked about how stupid that idea is.
Backstage, EC3 and Moose are talking when Lashley rolls up. He tells them that Carter and Moose will fight each other in the main event tonight and he will face the winner next week.
Broken Hardys segment
The Broken Hardys make it to the ring, though Jeff is looking much less Broken lately. Matt says that Brother Nero has repaid his debt to him. The fans start chanting "Brother Nero" which Matt thinks is a DELIGHTFUL chant! Matt says he and Brother Nero are the greatest tag team in all of space and time, including the Day of the New and the Bucks of Youth!
They'll defend those titles again and again and again.
Matt asks Brother Nero if he has a eulogy to sing for Decay. Jeff sings the Obsolete song.... oh damn, Matt had a premonition! The new tag challengers will be revealed tonight! No matter who it is, they will suffer a lethal one two punch -- DELETE OBSOLETE!
The Tribunal run in and attack the Hardys! Matt is down! Brother Nero tries to fight, but he gets a low blow!

They play a video package setting up Rhodes/Bennett tonight.
The Miracle Mike Bennett (w/Maria) vs. Cody (w/Brandi Rhodes)
The match is very even early on, with the men trading moves and neither taking the advantage. Cody missing the Disaster Kick and Bennett takes a powder. Then Cody runs up to the top rope and jumps on Bennett on the outside!
They fight outside and Cody ends up in the crowd. As he's climbing in, the Miracle lands a kick and then a Hangman's DDT from the guardrail! This is enough to give the Miracle the advantage and he starts working over Rhodes in the ring.
Cody finally fights back with a pair of flying clotheslines and an Alabama Slam! Beautiful Disaster! He goes for a moonsault but misses. Superkick from Bennett who follows up with a Pedigree! Kick out at 2 by Cody!
Bennett goes up top but Cody runs and knocks him down. He climbs up top and sets up for a superplex on the Miracle... and lands it! Cody sets up for the American Nightmare finish but a shouting Maria from the outside distracts Cody long enough for Bennett to fight up.
Now the two just trade haymakers in the middle of the ring.... Cross Rhodes! 1-2-3!

Backstage, Moose says tonight starts his journey to become TNA world heavyweight champion and he'll take out his friend EC3 if need be.
Marshe Rockett vs. DJ Z (c) for the X Division championship
Rockett is able to use his size early on to get some offense early on but DJ Z responds with his speed. Rockett gains control again, grounding the champ and mocking his hand gesture.
Finally Z is able to use his quickness to take the control. He sets up for the ZDT, but Rockett catches him, tosses him off, and hits a kick. Marshe then misses a splash in the corner and Z responds with the ZDT for the 1-2-3.

Backstage, Bennett is with Maria and Allie and he is fuming about the loss tonight but says he'll have Maria's back tonight. Allie lets them know that the e-mail said that Miracle is banned tonight as well.
Maria vs. Gail Kim (c) in a no DQ match for the Knockouts championship
Madison Rayne is on commentary again.
Maria goes at Gail immediately with a trash can lid. She misses and Gail grabs a kendo stick. Maria runs out of the ring and Gail follows. The champ takes her out on the ramp, grabs what looks to be a big laundry basket, and rolls her into the corner of the ring.
Back in the ring, Maria uses a rake to the eyes and a garbage can lid to get an advantage on Kim. Maria has control for awhile, at one point choking Gail and another hitting a spine buster to the champ. Gail was finally able to land a kick to Maria when she was using a trash can lid.
Gail misses a splash from the top and Maria responds a beating from a kendo stick... until Gail catches it with Eat Defeat. She goes for the cover but then pulls Maria up! She's going to do more damage! Eat Defeat to the trash can lid earns Gail the 1-2-3.
Gail def. Maria via pinfall to retain her title
EC3 is delivering a promo about tonight when Eli Drake rolls in and tells him off for being a choke artist. Carter wants him to press the button so he can fight him.
Backstage, the doctors are attending to Eddie. Cody comes and checks on him. Eddie says that he'll still be healthy enough to give Cody his title shot. And that will happen next week.
There's a mysterious video promo with three guys in an Anonymous type gimmick, talking about how they will fix things in TNA wrestling.
Moose vs. EC3
The two big men are very even off the bat. Carter is the one who finds himself in control for awhile, but a big boot from Moose on the outside allows the bigger man some advantage. Back in the ring, Carter is sitting on the top rope and Moose lands his standing drop kick! Carter responds with a drop kick to Moose off of the top rope!
They start exchanging chops in the center of the ring. Moose uses some headbutts to take the control. He hits a pop up powerbomb and follows it with a senton for a nearfall. Carter hits the TK3 but the Moose is still on his feet. EC3 continues at him.After a flapjack, he sets up for the One Percenter.
Moose pushes him off... and hits the Go to Hell powerbomb! Moose misses his clothesline and Carter goes for the One Percenter again. Once again, Moose pushes him off and this time, hits his big lariat to the back of EC3 for the 1-2-3.

Lashley walks down to the ring and the men stare each other down.
