TNA Bound for Glory 2012: Austin Aries vs Jeff Hardy full match video preview

After winning the Bound for Glory Series, it's time to see if cashing in on that by winning the TNA heavyweight championship is in Jeff Hardy's future.

Perhaps TNA wanted its most popular star (by far) wrestling in its biggest pay-per-view (PPV) of the year. Perhaps the company knows it needs to do whatever it takes to make its most popular star happy before his contract comes up early next year and he leaves to go be a popular star for WWE. Perhaps it's a combination of both.

Either way, Jeff Hardy won the Bound for Glory Series and now he'll headline the Bound for Glory PPV event tonight (Oct. 13, 2012) in Phoenix, Arizona, in a heavyweight championship match against current titleholder Austin Aries.

The story headed in is fairly weak. Aries did his best to cut a shoot style heel promo on the go home edition of Impact Wrestling but it didn't get over well and his title reign has been mostly underwhelming, probably because it took so long for him to turn heel.

He doesn't work well as a babyface.

The story TNA pushes in the preview video is that of redemption. Hardy had a terrible 2011 but now he's poised to finish off 2012 with a title win to become the new painted face of the promotion. Just in time for that contract coming up in February of next year, too.
