News came out earlier this week that Kurt Angle would have to get surgery on his neck for a benign tumor that he's had for a number of years but only recently started giving him problems. Now, he tells his Facebook followers that his operation has been scheduled and he expects to be back fairly soon:
"To update all of you that have asked and commented about my neck: The tumor is benign and my surgery is next week. I will be out of action for about a month and I'll be coming back better than ever! Thank you all for your incredible support. Your comments have kept my spirits high throughout this trying time. Much Love, Kurt."
That timetable makes it doubtful he'll make it back in time for the next set of Impact tapings later this month, at least as far as wrestling a match is concerned. And considering the shaky status of TNA as we inch closer to the date Destination America was reportedly thinking of cancelling TNA programming on its channel, it's fair to wonder if we haven't seen the last of Angle in the six-sided ring.
Unless, of course, he ends up doing what so many others already have and heading to GFW to work with Jeff Jarrett.
