While executives at TNA are claiming the company is doing just fine and there are no plans to shut it down any time soon, evidence to the contrary continues to mount. That includes the mass exodus of top talent, which will reportedly add three more names to the list following tonight's Slammiversary pay-per-view.
Austin Aries was a name we knew about in the weeks leading up to the show and it's being reported he's on his way out. Now, a report from the Wrestling Observer brings word of two Knockouts whose contracts are up and are expected to work their last date for the promotion tonight: Taryn Terrell and Awesome Kong.
Terrell just dropped the Knockouts championship at the recent TV tapings, which would make sense if she's leaving.
Those three names join the likes of James Storm, Magnus, Gunner, and Samuel Shaw on the list of recent departures. And while Jeff Jarrett, Matt Morgan, Hernandez, and Bully Ray may have recently made their return, the fact that Jarrett was inducted into the Hall of Fame in a ceremony that was already taped and will air on television in a couple months as opposed to at Bound for Glory in October would seem to indicate there may be more trouble afoot than anyone at TNA wants to admit to.
Then again, this is TNA, and there are still those who believe everything is a work and they're simply working with GFW for some major angle.
We shall see.
