Dixie Carter today tweeted that one of TNA's biggest draws and one-half of their current tag team champions, Jeff Hardy, is out with a broken leg. The Charismatic Enigma was injured in a dirt bike accident, according to Carter:
.@JEFFHARDYBRAND just suffered a broken leg in a dirt bike accident. Will provide more details once they are known.

It's an unfortunate coincidence, but Matt & Jeff Hardy just won the tag titles in a tournament that was necessitated by Eddie Edwards of The Wolves suffering a broken heel (Ed: this has been corrected from an earlier version confusing Edward's injury with his partner Davey Richards' broken leg from 2014). The Attitude Era stars coronation followed Kurt Angle winning the company's World singles' championship amidst rumors that Impact Wrestling's new television partner, Destination America, was requesting TNA put their top belts on recognizable names.
Impact tapes in advance, so depending on the severity of the break, they may be able to book around the injury. Broken legs typically take 6 - 8 weeks to heal, however, so there is no chance of his making the May 8 - 11 shows they have planned for Orlando.
We'll bring you any updates as they're available. Do you think TNA losing Hardy for a couple of months a big deal, or a relatively minor issue for the promotion?
