With TNA taping television weeks in advance, it can be hard to keep up with everything that's going on considering when the shows actually take place and when they'll air on television. For example, according to spoilers that came out today following last night's taping in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Jeff Hardy will be going away from the Willow character and returning to his old self to win a battle royal for the right to challenge Bobby Lashley for the heavyweight championship.
That angle isn't scheduled to air on Spike TV until July 10.
However, TNA decided it best to promote the title match before it airs because said title match will be taking place on June 25 at the Manhattan Center in New York City. It won't air until a few weeks after, but it's best to actually promote the big money match-ups beforehand, even if current television isn't even close to revealing how they get to this point.
Oh, the perils of taped television.
In other news, the winner of Hardy vs. Lashley will defend the title against Austin Aries at the Destination X event that will tape on June 26 following Aries title victory over Sanada at the taping that took place last night.
In addition, as announced previously, Matt Hardy will be appearing during the three day run in NYC.
