TNA Impact ratings way up for the WRATH OF DIXIE

So here's something nice for TNA.

Last night's (Thurs., April 10, 2014) episode of Impact was live from Orlando, Florida, for the first time in weeks and the show was built around the return of Dixie Carter. Or, more accurately, the WRATH OF DIXIE.

Her time on the show was limited, if you can call it that, to a couple backstage segments and one long back-and-forth in the ring where it was teased Bully Ray would put her through a table, though that was never delivered upon. Actually, it was never even followed up on, but that hardly matters.

The ratings are in and, surprisingly enough, the show did an average of 1.41 million viewers, up big from last week and the highest number for the show in the last couple months.

On top of Carter's return, Eric Young was made to play Daniel Bryan throughout the evening, rocking the long beard, working as underdog babyface, selling an arm injury, winning the opening match of the night, and going on to the main event to win the heavyweight title.

Copycat or not, it worked this week.
