Now that TNA has taken Impact on tour, the schedule calls for one live show immediately followed by a taping for the show set to air the very next week on Spike TV. Well, the promotion was live in Louisville, Kentucky, last night (July 18, 2013) with a mostly mediocre two hours (click here for the live blog and here for reactions) before taping next week's show.
Here are spoilers (via PW Insider):
- Mr. Anderson def. Hernandez via pinfall to pick up 7 points in the Bound for Glory Series.
- Main Event Mafia promo revealing their feud with Aces and 8s isn't over. They bring out Chris Sabin, who challenges the winner of the Ultimate X match to a match next week in a champion vs. champion encounter. This leads to Bully Ray bringing out a lawyer who threatens to file a lawsuit if the belt isn't returned to Ray.
- Velvet Sky promo leads right into Mickie James defeating Gail Kim to retain her Knockouts championship. ODB was referee and Kim continued her prior feud with her both during and after the match.
- Christopher Daniels def. Samoa Joe via pinfall to pick up 7 points in the Bound for Glory Series.
- Manik wins the Ultimate X match for the X Division championship by defeating both Sonjay Dutt and the artist formerly known as Trent Baretta in what was described as a fun match.
- The main event of the show sees AJ Styles def. Jeff Hardy via submission to pick up 10 points in the Bound for Glory Series. Said to be a very good match.
