It seems we've seen the last of D'Angelo Dinero in TNA. That's because "The Pope" announced on his Twitter account that his contract came up at the end of the year and he won't be signing a new deal.
Pope's Contract expired with TNA on Jan 1, I will not be resigning. Thanks to Dixie and the whole TNA Family for a wonderful 3+ Years.~PHS

That leads to the obvious question of whether or not this is a work. After all, it seemed Devon was out the door and talking about a potential return to WWE before he showed up as the head guy in charge of Aces and 8s.
Dinero assures us that's not the case this time around.
And for the SM's out there, THIS is not a storyline. ~PHS

It's been a disappointing run over the past three years. The potential was there but he was never pushed to the top level as championship worthy material and his shoulder injury that knocked him out of the Bound for Glory Series effectively rendered him irrelevant. He's only 34-years-old and has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Anyone hoping to see him back in WWE?
