Yes, this thing is still ongoing. Despite the fact that major media has mostly left it alone and let it lie now that it's damn near old news, Hulk Hogan is proceeding with his lawsuit against Gawker.
TMZ.com brings an update that he dropped the case in federal court last month to refile it in Florida state court.
Hulk dismissed the lawsuit in federal court without prejudice last month, and refiled it in Florida state court -- where he's also currently suing his sex tape partner Heather Clem ... the ex-wife of radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge. Hulk claims Clem played a role in leaking the footage to the media.
Hulk's lawyer tells TMZ, Hulk dismissed the federal case in order to consolidate his claims against both Clem and Gawker ... i.e. to bring both cases under the same roof ... which ultimately means less paperwork and attorney's fees.
Hogan is still seeking $100 million and the lawsuit is still incredibly ridiculous. He isn't likely to win and Gawker hasn't backed down one bit.
And no one really cares anymore anyway.
We'll let you know once this thing gets settled once and for all but don't expect much else -- outside of a bombshell dropping -- in the way of news on this one.
