Well, it went the way almost every single one of you thought it would. Jeff Hardy outlasted both Bobby Roode and Austin Aries to retain his heavyweight championship in the main event of the TNA Genesis 2013 pay-per-view (PPV) event tonight (Jan. 13) at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida.
Yes, he's still the champion and yes, it looks like it's going to stay that way for some time.
The match itself was solid if unspectacular. As usual, Hardy was willing to put his body through ridiculous pain to get the match over and Aries and Roode proved once again they're good to great to dance partners. Roode was first eliminated but it wasn't long after that Aries went out too.
Now, it looks like Hardy is moving on to other things, like a potential feud with Christopher Daniels, who earned a heavyweight title shot by defeating James Storm earlier in the evening. As for Roode and Storm, they could very well be continuing their program.
So we're all kind of getting what we wanted, even if it was super predictable.
