TNA 'Genesis 2013' Preview: Christopher Daniels vs. James Storm

Christopher Daniels vs. James Storm

"The Cowboy" James Storm seeks to stay on his path to the TNA World Championship, but first he must deal with the distractions being caused by the mischievous Christopher Daniels and his partner, Kazarian.

The Road to Genesis

Storm is finally beginning to gain traction in his quest to regain the TNA gold he held briefly in late 2011. After losing his #1 contendership to former partner and arch-rival Bobby Roode, he has managed to rack up wins in tag action with partner Jeff Hardy, and consecutive victories over Kazarian at the Final Resolution Pay-Per-View (PPV) , as well as the January 3rd episode of Impact Wrestling.

Daniels' motives have been unclear for quite some time now. He and Kaz spent time as World Tag Team Champions (of the World), but before, during and after that reign, he has seemed just as interested in playing mind games with fellow TNA originals AJ Styles and now Storm, as in wins and losses in the squared circle.

In recent weeks, Daniels and Kazarian have impersonated and mocked Storm and his frenemy, Santa Claus. There was no development in their feud on the latest episode of Impact, but Daniels surely still has a bad taste in his mouth from when Storm spit in his appletini the previous week.

What's at Stake?

Momentum and bragging rights. The Bad Influence team need to come out on top to break their recent losing streak, and would love to have a PPV win to lord over Storm. The Cowboy undoubtedly wants to put the pair in his rear view mirror with a victory, so he can move closer to a World Heavyweight Championship shot.
