Joseph Park vs. Devon
Mr. Joseph Park, Esq. has been kidnapped and beaten at the hands of Aces & Eights. At Genesis he gets a shot at the highest ranking unmasked member of the motorcycle club, Devon.
The Road to Genesis
Joseph Park came to TNA last year searching for his brother, the monster Abyss. Although, that search has yet to conclusively bear fruit, Park got involved in backstage business on Impact Wrestling, working with Hulk Hogan to investigate the Aces & Eights motorcycle gang that was terrorizing the promotion. That work culminated in Park having a match with DOC, a match he lost.
That loss sent him off to train at Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where Impact viewers have watched his progress over the past month. Park continues to become enraged at the sight of blood, and this may be a clue to the nature of his relationship, or even the whereabouts of his brother.
Devon has been very busy since returning to TNA last fall, re-earning his TV Title, handling club business in contracts taken out on Jeff Hardy by Bobby Roode and Austin Aries, and holding up the losing end of tag matches with the likes of Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and Sting.
What's at Stake?
Park is gunning for a measure of revenge, and to show Hulk Hogan and TNA management what he can do as a wrestler. Devon has not put his title on the line, but is seeking to defend the honor of his gang. A loss to the lawyer would be a blow to their credibility, and Aces & Eights are likely to go to any length to ensure that doesn't happen.
