TNA Impact results and live blog for Nov. 29: Championship Thursday

TNA returns to Spike TV tonight (Nov. 29, 2012) with its latest episode of Impact Wrestling, and it's "Championship Thursday!" Rob Van Dam will defend the X Division title against an opponent of Hulk Hogan's choosing.

TNA Impact Wrestling comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Nov. 29, 2012) from the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida, featuring Championship Thursday.

On tonight's show, Rob Van Dam will put the X Division title on the line against an opponent of Hulk Hogan's choosing. That's not all Hogan has to worry about, though, as Austin Aries made some stunningly awesome allegations last week regarding Brooke Hogan and Bully Ray boning down.

We'll find out more tonight!

Plus, Mickie James battles Gail Kim and AJ Styles teams up with James Storm for a match against Christopher Daniels and Kazarian.

TNA IMPACT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 29

Nolan in.

Recap of last week.

Broadcast is live.

Hulk Hogan kicks us off.

Hogan says there is a lot of energy tonight and it is because of the tension last week. He says that he is both a father and a GM and it collided in the ring last week. Hogan tells Bully Ray that he must come out right now and fess up to him face-to-face.

Bully Ray obliges.

Hogan wants him to play it straight. Bully says that Hogan has never trusted him and he says he doesn't know why Hogan would want answers now. Hogan asks what is going on between him and Brooke. Bully asks if he really wants answers and the tension is high.

Brooke Hogan enters.

Hulk and Brooke bicker over this.

Austin Aries in the GM's office. He says he enjoys the arguments, but there are wrestlers in his office and they are itching to know if they will challenge for the X Division title tonight. He tells Hulk that he will lay on his desk until he gets back there. Aries says that laying on the desk is not really comfortable and wonders how Brooke does it on there.

Ohhhhhh!

Hogan runs off to confront Aries.

We get some match previews and move to break.

Gail Kim vs. Mickie James

Rollup by Gail gets a nearfall immediately.

Gail Kim gets the reverse gut wrench and shoves Mickie down. Mickie chases her, but Gail with a kick to the stomach and gets the wrist lock. Mickie tries to cartwheel out, but Gail with a neckbreaker across the knee. Gail stomping the heck out of Mickie. Splash in the corner by Gail. Uppercut and Mickie is still down. Gail Kim with a Sandow-esque neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Gail slamming Mickie's face into the mat. Gail locks in the headscissors across the neck of Mickie. Gail rolls over and slams Mickie's face into the mat. Pinfall attempt is bridged out by Mickie.

Gail goes for a leg lock, but Mickie pushes her off and catches her for a flapjack. Mickie up top, but Gail ducks under and hits Mickie with a dropkick. Gail Kil going for a pin with both feet on the ropes, but Taryn Terrell immediately spots it.

Gail Kim goes for the Eat Defeat, but Mickie sends her onto the second rope and lands a nice superkick for a nearfall.

Mickie puts her back to the corner and hits a few punches. Hurricanrana and some shoulder tackles by Mickie. Gail attempts a counter, but Mickie hits a neckbreaker that again earns a nearfall.

Mickie looking for her DDT finisher, but Gail pushes her off and onto the top rope. Mickie with a headlock and she gets the flying DDT.

Pinfall and win for Mickie.

James Storm backstage and he is upset about Bobby Roode bringing his family into the argument.

AJ Styles comes up and says he has nothing to complain about, considering he doesn't have a title shot for another year.

Storm tells him he should settle down and focus on their tag match tonight, to which Styles storms off.

Hogan bursts into his office.

Him and Aries start to argue, but cooler heads prevail and Hogan begins the selection process.

Hogan picks on Kenny King, saying that he was hee-hawing with Aries about his joke. Everyone else begins to bicker over their status in the X Division.

Ultimately, King is eliminated.

Bobby Roode out.

He details last week's proceedings and states that he will be taking the title from Jeff Hardy at Final Resolution. Roode says that Hardy struggled with a Gut Check rookie and that Hardy is a paper champion. He will prove that at Final Resolution. Roode says that if you want to make a name in this company, you don't call out Jeff Hardy. You call out the longest reigning TNA champion in history.

Christian York enters.

The two get face-to-face and Roode tells that no one interrupts him. Roode tells him to get his "Rastafarian haircut and squeegee looking ass" out of here.

Money.

York slaps him and tells him that he has called him out.

Bobby Roode vs. Christian York

Roode with the side headlock. Shoulder block follows and Roode works the crowd. He goes off the ropes, but hip toss by York. York with three shoulder blocks and a nearfall.

Roode goes outside to regroup. York follows and Roode takes control. York reverses Roode's onslaught and sends him into the steel steps. York puts him inside,

York up top, but Roode crotches him. Roode stomping a mudhole into York and starts choking him with his boot. Roode slapping him in the corner. Roode sends York into the corner, but runs into an elbow. Roode then runs into a boot. York runs out of the corner, but Roode nails him with a clothesline. Vertical suplex from Roode and he goes up top. He lands on the boot of Christian York and he Flair flops. The two exchange strikes in the middle of the ring, but York turns around and clotheslines Roode. Dropkick. York puts Roode up and lets him fall to the mat. York up top and he hits a stomp to the back of Roode. Dream Scheme by York earns a nearfall.

York goes for the Mood Swing, but Roode goes for the fisherman's suplex. York rolls him up for a nearfall.

Roode looks scared and goes to the apron. York tries to bring him in, but the ref breaks it as Roode holds the ropes. York turns and Roode hits a clothesline to the back of the head.

Crossface in and Roode wins by submission.

Roode gets a chair post-match, but Hardy comes to save the day.

Aces and 8s in the clubhouse.

Devon wants Samoa Joe for the TV title. He tells Hogan that if they give him a shot, no one will be hurt. If he doesn't, hell will break lose.

Angle backstage trying to convince Bruce Pritchard to sign Wes Briscoe.

Pritchard is worried about Al Snow, who isn't here.

Kazarian and Christopher Daniels vs. James Storm and AJ Styles

Kaz and Daniels on the mic pulling their usual shenanigans pre-match.

Kaz and AJ start. Kaz gets the back, then forces Styles into the corner. Styles charges, but eats a drop toehold. Kaz with the front headlock in. Turns it into a side headlock. Styles sends him off the ropes and tries a dropkick, but misses.

Storm tags in. He starts landing right hands at will. Kick to the stomach and a facebreaker on the knee followed up by a neckbreaker.

Daniels in and he gets beat up before receiving a back bodydrop.

Styles in and the double team elbow. Styles goes for a knee drop, but he misses. Kaz tags in.

Daniels hip tosses Kaz onto Styles.

Storm comes in to clean house and puts Kaz down with an enzuigiri.

Daniels and Kaz take control of the match with some devious offense and Daniels is in. Stomps and a scoop slam from Daniels and he tags out.

Kaz flips over with a leg drop for a nearfall.

Kaz with the side headlock. Storm gets out and the ref becomes distracted, so Daniels holds Storm down. Dropkick by Kaz and Daniels in.

Daniels with a running forearm in the corner and him and Kaz do double Gangnam Style in the ring.

Storm is able to tag out and Styles is in.

Styles electric, clearing the ring. Sitdown neckbreaker by Styles and he goes to the apron. Springboard forearm. Styles goes for a flying attack on Kaz, but Kaz steps away and Styles eats mat.

Kaz and Daniels eliminate Storm by knocking him off the apron. Double team neckbreaker/powerbomb lands for a nearfall.

Storm takes out Kaz and Styles gets blind tagged by Storm. Styles goes for a Pele, but Daniels moves and is looking for his finisher. Storm in with a Last Call Superkick.

Storm gets the pin and Styles runs off, looking upset.

Hogan backstage and another man will be eliminated.

Kash says that he deserves one last shot more than Ion or Aries.

Hogan says that RVD hates Aries and wants to give him a beating, so Aries will fight RVD tonight.

Joe says that he heard Devon's challenge.

Joe says that Devon abandoned the belt and he couldn't cut it as champ, but he accepts the challenge.

----------

Doug Williams vs. Matt Morgan

Joey Ryan shows up and tells Christy Hemme to go to the back and make him a sandwich as he introduces Matt Morgan.

Willliams opens with strikes, but Morgan just shoving him to the mat. Williams goes in again, but Morgan clotheslines him down. Elbow in the corner by Morgan. Morgan choking Williams with his boot. Williams tries to fight back, but Morgan shoves him again. Sidewalk slam by Morgan. Williams up top after turning the tide, but Morgan catches him and lands a chokeslam.

Carbon Footprint plants Williams and Morgan wins.

D'Lo Brown talking to Bruce Pritchard.

Both worried about the absence of Al Snow.

D'Lo offers to step in if they can't find Snow.

D.O.C. vs. Angle, Joe vs. Devon, and Roode, Kaz, and Daniels vs. Styles, Storm, and Hardy next week.

Gut Check time.

Wes Briscoe out.

D'Lo Brown will step in for Al Snow.

Bruce gives Wes the nod.

Taz does not.

Wes has to convince D'Lo Brown. He says being in the ring is all he has ever dreamed of. He is doing it for his fans, his family, and "egspecially" his uncle Jack.

D'Lo says that Kurt Angle respects his ring work and he does, too.

D'Lo gives the nod to his fellow Aces and 8s...oh, we aren't supposed to know that. Sorry about that.

Angle and Garrett come out to celebrate.

Hogan backstage. He tells the interviewer that he isn't himself today and isn't really in the mood.

Bully meets Hogan and he is upset because Aries offended everyone out there. Bully says that Hogan is confusing business with personal, but Hogan says that Bully is confusing business with personal.

Both men fired up as we break.

TNA/Ink Master commercial. Hardy will be on the show.

ODB upset about EY's ankle being shattered.

----------

Aries and Hogan chatting backstage and he wants to thank Hogan for putting him back on the road for his TNA title. Hogan says RVD wants to lay a beating on him, so good luck.

TNA X Division Championship: Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Austin Aries

RVD trying to work Aries into the corner, but Aries ducks between the ropes. RVD does his pose, so Austin attacks and gts the side headlock. RVD reverses, then Aries reverses. The two countering out of each other's moves, but RVD gets the leg kicks to turn it around. Aries sent into the ropes and lands a kick, but RVD with the leg sweep rollup for a nearfall.

RVD working Aries in the corner. He sends Aries off the ropes and RVD misses his dropkick as Aries holds the rope. Aries on the apron and tries an attack, but RVD gets the knees up. Rolling Thunder attempts stifled as Aries goes outside.

RVD goes over the top for a crossbody on the outside. Both men down as we break.

Back from break and Aries knocks RVD off the apron. Aries goes for a suicide dive, but he runs into a kick. RVD drops Aries on the barricade and goes to the apron for a leg drop, but Aries moves away. Aries with a neckbreaker on the barricade to the arena floor.

Action moves back inside and gets quite a few nearfalls.

Aries with an elbow for another nearfall.

The men exchange offense and Aries goes up top for the frog splash, but he misses and eats canvas. RVD with a springboard sidekick. RVD with some fancy kicks in the corner. Rolling Thunder lands and RVD going up top. Split-legged moonsault by RVD earns him a nearfall.

Aries takes advantage of RVD with some clotheslines. Aries off the ropes, but RVD elevates him and nails a dropkick. RVD goes up top, but Aries pushes him off into the barricade. Aries pushes him in ring and he has a mic. Aries says that RVD was so close and that he is all sweaty and dirty and broken down, almost looking like Brooke Hogan.

Bully comes out and tries to attack Aries.

RVD wins by DQ.

Aries going up the ramp, but he is trapped between Bully and Hogan.

Show ends with that awkward situation.
