WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JUNE 15

BaconStrips here. Let's make it Dusty in here...

________________________________________

WWE Signature and a replay of the ten-bell salute and video tribute to Dusty Rhodes.

________________________________________

Seth Rollins comes out to the ring and, after a commercial, introduces us to Raw, or Monday Night Rollins

Rollins starts bragging about him being the best thing about Raw and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He acknowledges Dean Ambrose and puts him over a bit. However, Rollins says that Dean Ambrose's A-game is not as good as Rollins' A-game. He beat Ambrose in one of WWE's best ladder matches.

Rollins starts turning this into an award acceptance speech by thanking a bunch of people....most notably Seth Rollins. He claims that he didn't need anyone's help to win because he's that damn good.

After trashing Cleveland a bit, Dean Ambrose comes out, and the two men start to brawl again with Ambrose clotheslining Rollins outside. Outside, Rollins starts targeting the leg again, but Ambrose keeps fighting, causing Seth Rollins to run away.

As Rollins splits, Ambrose gets a mic and a chair. He says that he's been reminded how fun it is to make Rollins' life a living hell. Ambrose takes a seat in the ring, and he ain't leaving until Rollins comes back for more.

________________________________________

After a commercial, we go backstage where Seth Rollins is chatting with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Trips promises a #1 contender for Rollins by the end of the night, and The Authority is making this decision "all by themselves"

Back in the ring, Ambrose is chilling in his chair when Sheamus comes out with a mic and his Money in the Bank briefcase. Sheamus says that him and Ambrose are very much alike except for the fact that Sheamus is a winner and Ambrose is a loser.

Sheamus says that he's gonna decapitate Ambrose "purely for my entertainment"

________________________________________

Dean Ambrose vs Sheamus

This was a very good and stiff match. Sheamus did a great job targeting Ambrose's bum knee with strikes and holds such as a stretch muffler and a Cloverleaf. However, Ambrose kept fighting and got the win with a roll-up after Randy Orton prevented Sheamus from escaping.

Dean Ambrose def Sheamus

After the match, Orton and Sheamus brawl before Sheamus high-tails it out.

________________________________________

Backstage, Seth Rollins is walking around when he encounters J&J Security. He says "I told you so" in regards to his promise to beat Dean Ambrose alone. Despite this, Rollins offers to bring J&J back on if they give some inside information on his contender. Jamie Noble responds with a suggestion: Joey Mercury. Rollins laughs until Mercury shuts him up, saying that the recordbooks will show that J&J Security beat Seth Rollins.

The question isn't "if?"; it's "when?"

________________________________________

A clip from Dusty Rhodes' 1979 NWA Championship win is shown.

________________________________________

King Barrett vs R-Truth

R-Truth (or King What's Up) comes out to the ring wearing a bedsheet, a Burger King crown, and carrying a royal plunger. He graces us with his presence on commentary until he is informed that he's actually in the match.

R-Truth rolls up Barrett for the quick win...and then eats a Bullhammer as Barrett freaks out.

R-Truth def King Barrett

Barrett complains after the match, saying that R-Truth is making a mockery of the King.

________________________________________

Backstage, people are bugging Machine Gun Kelly when Paige comes in and tries to recruit people for her cause.

________________________________________

Kevin Owens comes down to the ring.

"John Cena is not here tonight." The crowd likes this news.

If there is someone to blame for this, it is John Cena himself. Although Owens played a role in this beating, he claims that Cena made him do it.

Why? Because Cena said one of the most disrespectful things ever: "You belong here"

News flash: Kevin Owens knew this the second he entered a WWE ring, and he doesn't need an endorsement. He calls the handshake an attempt by Cena to hog the spotlight to be the hero.

The fact remains: Kevin Owens holds a victory over Cena, and he wants a rematch for the US Title. Owens starts mocking the John Cena routine (interrupt promo, issue challenge, whatever).

Instead, Kevin Owens issues an open challenge. Today's victim: DOLPH ZIGGLER!!!

Ziggler makes out with Lana before telling Owens that he made his night by talking about sacrifice. Ziggler then talks about how he scratched and clawed for everything he's gotten.

Oh yeah, this is non title, but Ziggler doesn't care

________________________________________

Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

This was so good. So so so so so good. Both men went back and forth and traded some of their best shots, including Owens kicking out of a Zig Zag. In the end, Owens was too much for Ziggler, who succumbed to a Pop-up Powerbomb

Kevin Owens def Dolph Ziggler

The man can have 4* matches on demand it seems.

________________________________________

Backstage, Paige tries to rally her troops against The Bella Twins when the subjects themselves interrupt and dissuade everyone that Paige has gathered (even Emma), leaving her alone against the Twins yet again.

The number 4 is going to become relevant quite soon...

________________________________________

Randy Orton vs Kane

Pretty average match that changes to a no holds barred match per Kane once Sheamus comes down to distract Orton. After the change, Orton eats a Brogue Kick, allowing Kane to pin him.

Kane def Randy Orton

Yep.

________________________________________

After his match, Kane is backstage when Seth Rollins congratulates him on his victory, and then starts dogging him about losing last night. Rollins goes on until Kane eventually calls him an idiot for going on his own. Rollins brings up Kane's family, and Kane threatens to eviscerate Rollins.

________________________________________

A clip from Dusty Rhodes' Hall of Fame induction is shown.

________________________________________

Big Show vs The Miz

Ryback is on commentary.

The match starts and Big Show chases The Miz for a bit until he feigns a knee injury. This suckers Miz to Show when the trap is sprung. Show beats the hell out of Miz and eventually lawn-darts him onto Ryback

"I've got Miz all over me" - Ryback

As Show and Ryback trade words, Miz gets back into the ring to avoid a count-out.

The Miz def Big Show

________________________________________

Roman Reigns comes to the ring and says that he did not have a good night last night, and he is pissed off. He wants to throw down with Bray Wyatt RIGHT NOW!!!

Instead, Wyatt appears and starts cutting one of his usual promos, and Reigns is not impressed. Wyatt says that his chance at his destiny (aka the MITB Briefcase) was stolen two weeks ago when Reigns selfishly denied him. Wyatt attributes it to his ego and relates Reigns to a former chosen one that was cast aside.

Wyatt starts talking about justice, and he promises that he will haunt and destroy Reigns...but not tonight (since Father's Day is coming up). Wyatt starts singing I'm a Little Teapot and promises that their fun is just getting started.

________________________________________

Paige vs The Bella Twins

Well, Paige tried, but she couldn't over come both Bellas in this one. She hits the RamPaige on Brie, but Nikki breaks the cover, tags herself in, and hits the Bellahammer + Rack Attack combo for the win.

The Bella Twins def Paige

________________________________________

Machine Gun Kelly performs stuff. This would be a good time to relieve yourselves, get food/drink, and whatever else you all do.

After the performance, Kevin Owens comes out onstage and sarcastically applauds MGK. MGK shoves Owens, and Owens responds by powerbombing MGK off the stage.

Face turn?

________________________________________

The New Day vs Neville and The Primetime Players

This was your standard six-man tag. Darren Young was the main face-in-peril here, and Neville got the hot tag. Kofi Kingston ate the pin when he got Gut Checked and a Red Arrow.

Neville and the Primetime Players def The New Day

________________________________________

Dean Ambrose is throwing darts at a picture of Seth Rollins when he is interrupted by Kane. Ambrose brings up Kane's hellfire and brimstone past before Kane reminds Ambrose that he's a WWE executive. Ambrose brings passion into this, saying that this is his life. Ambrose says that he NEEDS the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and he won't stop until he gets it.

________________________________________

The Authority comes to the ring.

First things first, Stephanie McMahon apologizes for Kevin Owens murdering MGK. Discipline is pending.

Steph promises a decision for Seth Rollins that is best for business. Trips crushes our dreams, saying that Joey Mercury isn't taking on Seth Rollins...neither will Jamie Noble, Kane, or Dean Ambrose.

At this moment, Seth Rollins comes out. He says that his opponent doesn't matter because no one can take his championship away. Note the chants as Seth gloats...

Trips said that Rollins has proven himself by beating his competition, but Steph brings up Rollins' use of interference and his arrogance a bit. As a result, there is something left to prove.

Trips says that he's had to take a step back to look at his investment in Seth Rollins. Trips says that his investment has to face immense pressure: either the pressure destroys it, or it turns it into something valuable.

Does Seth crumble, or become a diamond?

The pressure-maker comes out in the form of one Brock Lesnar.

Paul Heyman shakes the hands of Trips and Steph as Rollins looks absolutely terrified. Brock stares at Rollins as he starts shaking in fear. Rollins backs up, and Lesnar keeps following until Rollins leaves the ring.

A terrified Rollins leaves as Lesnar looks on to end the show.

A night of good storytelling but flat finishes.

WWE went rolling right on through the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio last night (Sun., June 15, 2015) with Money in the Bank, a pay-per-view (PPV) that almost always delivers a ton of fun. This time, it had some issues with finishes falling flat but the storytelling within the matches was on point.

Let's not waste time with pleasantries and get right to reactions to the show (click here for the live blog with full match coverage).

It's mine, I'm gonna take it back

I loved the story they told in the main event.

Dean Ambrose should have won the WWE world heavyweight championship at Elimination Chamber but was screwed out of it because, well, that's what you do to babyfaces like Dean Ambrose. But he's CRAZY (Maggle) so he just decided to take the belt with him and run off like he's the champion anyway.

That made the story about Seth Rollins and his quest to get it back.

For weeks, Ambrose toyed with the champion by teasing him with the title that rightfully belongs to him -- even if on a bullshit technicality -- and Rollins grew increasingly frustrated, to the point he lost all the support of those around him and went into the match on an island.

The stipulation, in this instance, was perfect. The belt hanging above the ring for two wrestlers who both feel they are the rightful owners of it to fight over.

That's why the finish, though it seemed to fall flat as it was executed, was so perfect for the story they've been telling. Rollins ripping the title away from Ambrose after he couldn't seem to keep his hands on it for weeks is a great idea. The crowd didn't help when it had no idea how to react to it and, admittedly enough, you should never come out of a finish wondering about the rules of the match itself.

But write this story out, read it, and tell me that's not exactly what they should have done.

You can't.

This is without mentioning how outstanding Ambrose was as the fighting babyface who would not stay down, no matter how much punishment he was subjected to. Rollins was also perfect as the ruthless heel champion willing to dish out as much destruction necessary to get his belt back.

Fantastic match, great story, awesome finish that just fell flat in execution.

_____________________________________

Even better

I'm still of the opinion that WWE should have held off on doing another Kevin Owens vs. John Cena match, at least for a while. I'm also still of the opinion that Kevin Owens should have defeated John Cena for the second time in as many matches.

But I'll be damned if they didn't do just about everything right despite the fact that they decided to do another match this early and put Cena over in said match.

Cena won, sure. Owens lost, yes. But Cena basically had to pull out a bazooka and blast the NXT champion at point blank range with it before he could finally score that elusive pinfall. It got to the point that Cena was yelling in the referee's face to count to three, damn it, he can't hold up forever.

Then, they actually went through with the post-match angle they should have done for Brock Lesnar back at Extreme Rules in 2012. Instead of Owens allowing Cena to be the "bigger man" and put him over with a raise of his hand, the dastardly heel kicked him in the gut, apron powerbombed his ass, and laughed in his face.

Don't you ever pin Kevin Owens, John Cena. And don't you ever try to raise his hand after.

Yes, Owens should have won the match. But as far as the story goes and how it was told, they served every master here. And hey, when two heavy hitters get together and they're on equal footing there ain't a damn thing wrong with having them split a series of matches.

Now if they head to SummerSlam and Cena wins again...

Let's not think about that for now. Let's just enjoy that not only did they match the instant classic they put on at Elimination Chamber, they actually improved on it despite booking Cena to win.

The rest of the card

Money in the Bank ladder match: It's a big step in the right direction for WWE to tone these matches down because the audience needs to be conditioned to understand the days of falling off 20 foot ladders through four tables on the outside are over. It was laid out well and the big spots connected as they were delivered. That said, I was worked into a frenzy by the finish, namely the fact that Roman Reigns winning felt like the right call and Bray Wyatt's interference was most unwelcome. I didn't like Sheamus winning and I'm not looking forward to what they'll do with it, but at least they're working me the right way.

Nikki Bella vs. Paige: I loved everything about this. Paige actually bothered to work babyface while Nikki was full blown heel, they put together an entertaining match after being given enough time to do so, and the finish was creative. It was also brilliant because it got a ton of heat on Nikki. That crowd hated that finish, as did everyone I saw on social media or otherwise. And while I'm not normally this guy, sometimes it's worth pointing out that you're supposed to hate some things. It's actually really difficult to successfully pull that off in 2015, and the Bella twins are out here making it happen with ease. This was great.

Prime Time Players vs. The New Day: The match was fine for what it was, which was basically just a coronation for Titus O'Neil and Darren Young, but I couldn't help but be distracted by my own fantasy booking of these two squads joining together to form a stable and completely overrunning WWE.

Ryback vs. Big Show: The less said about this the better. Remember when I talked about why it was a bad idea to give away the Shell Shock on Raw and how it telegraphed the finish here with Miz interfering? Yeah. We may now get Miz vs. Ryback vs. Show in a triple threat at Battleground and that's terrifying.

King Barrett vs. R-Truth: I'm an R-Truth fan, so I quite liked this little comedy bit they did with him here but I can't help but wonder if Vince McMahon brought back King of the Ring, a tournament he's rumored to hate, just so he could bury the winner. It has to be something dumb like that, right? Otherwise, what the hell did Barrett do?

I can understand disliking some of the finishes in this show, and a lot of what was offered wasn't worth the time of day, but the stories told were on point and the top two matches were outstanding.

Grade: B-

That's it from me, Cagesiders. Now it's your turn to sound off in the comments section below with all your thoughts on last night's show. How did you like it, if you liked it at all?

WWE has put a bow tie around its Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio as the promotion wrapped up the show tonight (Sun., June 14, 2015) with Seth Rollins ripping the title away from Dean Ambrose to get it back for good in their ladder match.

Was it the best match on the card?

Elsewhere, John Cena and Kevin Owens had yet another classic encounter just two weeks after their first meeting (Cena won this time), Sheamus because the latest Money in the Bank contract holder when he won that ladder match, the Bella twins got back to their twin magic ways to keep the Divas title on Nikki, and so much more.

Literally, that was the finish.

For the second time in as many weeks, Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE world heavyweight championship headlined a major WWE show. The first was Elimination Chamber, where Dean won by disqualification, which meant Seth kept his title. Tonight, they squared off at Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

This time it was a ladder match.

As such, they used many a foreign object without fear of repercussion. The focus of the majority of the match, however, was Ambrose suffering an early injury to his knee and Rollins targeting it the rest of the way. The idea, of course, is that it would be that much more difficult for Ambrose to climb a ladder to take the title with a bum knee.

Late, Rollins took a huge back body drop through a ladder bridged from the ring to the announce desk. That left Ambrose to pull himself up the ladder but, again, his knee was faulty and it gave an actual reason for his slowed pace. That meant Rollins caught him and the battle continued back out to the Spanish announce desk, where Rollins took a Dirty Deeds.

And the table didn't break!

That again left Ambrose to climb the ladder and again he was too slow, this time taking a shot in the bad knee with a monitor when Rollins rushed in to save his title. He hit a Pedigree to finally give himself a chance, but Ambrose just would not quit.

Until, of course, there was no choice after Rollins viciously launched him into the barricade multiple times. This after throwing his head against a ladder and the aforementioned Pedigree. Then, to put an exclamation point on it, Rollins hit a sit out powerbomb onto a number of chairs set up on top of a ladder. Then he buried Ambrose underneath it all to keep him down.

It didn't.

As Rollins climbed to grab the title, Ambrose climbed with him. They both reached it at the same time and had their hands on it as it was unlatched. When they hit the mat, Rollins ripped it away for himself and was declared the winner.

Money in the Bank Briefcase Ladder Match

The match starts and a brawl immediately ensues. Kofi Kingston slips out and immediately grabs a ladder and sets it up. Everyone stares at him before attacking. After Kingston is disposed of, everyone tries climbing the ladder to no avail.

Everyone is thrown outside except Kane and Sheamus. Sheamus climbs and grabs the briefcase, but is stopped by Kane, who gets DDT'd by Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler tries to climb only to be stopped by Sheamus and White Noise.

Sheamus gets right to work by hitting everyone with the ladder. He eventually targets Randy Orton and goes to work on him for a moment.

While everyone is outside, Kingston tries to climb the ladder, but is dumped off of it by an annoyed Sheamus. He props a ladder in a corner and tries to White Noise Kingston, but he escapes. After Sheamus is hit with a dropkick by Neville, Kingston hits him with Trouble in Paradise.

Kingston starts setting up a ladder until Neville intervenes. They go at it for a moment until Neville monkey flips him onto the ladder. Both men brawl on the ladder until Roman Reigns intervenes. Reigns takes both men out and starts setting up a ladder until Kingston comes back

Reigns didn't like this much, so he powerbombs Kingston onto the corner ladder. Neville starts trying to work over Reigns, but he too is powerbombed on that ladder (while Kingston is lying on it).

Reigns climbs the ladder until Kane stops him with a chokeslam from the ladder. Kane starts to climb until Orton starts to intervene, eventually landing a RKO. Now Orton starts to climb until Kingston starts to stop him...until another RKO is hit.

As Orton tries to recover, Neville jumps the rope and climbs until Orton pulls him off and hits a huge RKO. Orton climbs again until Sheamus climbs the ladder. Sheamus touches the case, but is pulled off and taken out.

Orton climbs yet again until Sheamus intervenes again, this time really taking Orton out. Sheamus climbs until Ziggler runs up the ladder. The two brawl until Ziggler locks in a sleeper hold on top of the ladder and then ZIG ZAG OFF THE LADDER!

Neville climbs the turnbuckle and hits the Red Arrow on Sheamus. As he sells, Ziggler resets the ladder and both men climb. On top, both start trading strikes until Neville knocks Ziggler off the ladder. Neville goes for the briefcase until Kane intervenes. Kane takes both men out and then eats a Superman Punch from Reigns

Everyone except Reigns end up outside, and Reigns takes this opportunity to vault the rope and take everyone out. As they sell, Big E and Xavier Woods come out to help Kingston get the briefcase.

Kingston climbs as Reigns apron-dropkicks both Big E and Woods. Reigns then powerbombs Kingston on the other New Day members and others.

As Reigns gloats, Orton lines up for a RKO. Reigns dodges and hits a spear.

As Reigns climbs, Bray Wyatt comes from OUT OF NOWHERE and Sister Abigails Reigns. Everyone is out as Sheamus enters the ring and sets up the ladder. As Sheamus fiddles with the case, Neville climbs the ladder and tries to stop him, but to no avail. Sheamus knocks Neville off the ladder and grabs the case.

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

As Seth Rollins makes his way toward the arena, he is taunted by Kane, saying that the future is history. Steph also says that the weight of the company is on his shoulders, and there will be no one to blame but Rollins should he fail. Trips tells Rollins to "show them why I chose you"

As Lillian Garcia introduces them, both Ambrose and Rollins just glare into each others' eyes.

The bell rings, and both men start going at a fast pace with Ambrose hitting some shoulder blocks and chops. Ambrose them slows it down and starts torturing Rollins a bit with some hair pulling and a kick to the kidneys.

Rollins starts to mount an offense with some strikes and corner kicks. He throws Ambrose outside and starts going for a ladder, but Ambrose stops him on the apron and suplexes him right back inside the ring. He has some words with Rollins before delivering a lariat and his corner clothesline/bulldog combo.

Rollins comes back with a STO into the turnbuckle. A knee to the back sends Ambrose outside, and Rollins follows with a scoop slam on the outside. Ambrose is then introduced to the steel steps before Rollins goes for a ladder.

As Rollins saunters toward a ladder, Ambrose ambushes him with a suicide dive. Ambrose grabs a ladder and brings it to ringside when Rollins hits from behind. Ambrose reverses a Rollins whip toward the ladder, and Rollins jumps to the ladder and right to the apron. He goes for a suicide dive and connects with the ladder.

Ambrose sets up the ladder and both men jockey for position, with both eventually climbing each side. After a bit, Rollins is thrown into the ladder, knocking it down.

Ambrose props the ladder in between the top two ropes and goes for a suplex. Rollins tries to reverse into one of his own. Eventually, Ambrose delivers a double underhook suplex onto the ladder.

After a scoop slam to Rollins, Ambrose sets up a ladder and climbs it and DELIVERS A BIONIC ELBOW FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER!!!

Rollins is dumped outside, and Ambrose climbs the ladder. However, Rollins comes in with a chair and clobbers Ambrose's leg. This sends Ambrose falling off the ladder while clutching his knee.

Rollins starts to climb as Ambrose tries to stop him while hobbling on one leg. The ladder eventually ends up on Ambrose's bum leg, and Rollins starts targeting that leg by using the rope and a ladder to said limb.

A dragon screw takes Ambrose off his leg, and then his bad leg becomes sandwiched in a ladder as Rollins works it over. Rollins starts to taunt Ambrose until Ambrose starts to build a comeback....until Ambrose's leg is wrapped around the ring post. A ringpost figure-four follows as Ambrose screams in pain.

Back in the ring, Ambrose is trapped in another figure four. After a slap fight, Ambrose reverses the pressure on Rollins until he wiggles out. He is then string up in a tree of woe as Rollins gets another chair and hits the bad leg. Rollins then climbs the buckle and stomps Ambrose's neck.

Rollins finally sets up the ladder and starts climbing. Ambrose escapes the tree of woe and pushes the ladder down. He starts to slowly mount a comeback until he eats a ladder during a pendulum clothesline try.

Ambrose's leg is sandwiched again and Rollins starts to hit it with a chair as Ambrose yells obscenities at him. Rollins climbs the buckle and takes too much time as he is hit with a flying chair Ambrose tries for a superplex to the ladder, but his bad leg prevents it. As he comes to, Rollins tries for a springboard knee and is crotched. He is then clotheslined out of his boots.

Ambrose starts to mount another comeback and Cactus Clotheslines Rollins to the floor. Rollins crawls away as Ambrose follows. Ambrose is shoved into the barricade as Rollins returns to the ring. As Ambrose limps back, a ladder is launched at him which he dodges. Back inside, Ambrose hits the pendulum clothesline after a couple tries.

Rollins tries to escape through the crowd as Ambrose gives chase. The two fight to the medic area where Ambrose is thrown into a steel barricade. Rollins returns to the ring to get his title.

As Rollins tries to get a ladder, Ambrose comes from out of nowhere and takes Rollins out after running on the announce tables. Ambrose then bridges the ladder between the table and ring. You can guess what's going to happen...

Rollins lifts Ambrose for a powerbomb, but Ambrose gets out and BACK DROPS ROLLINS ONTO THE LADDER!!!

Ambrose goes outside and gets a fresh ladder to set up. Ambrose starts to climb with one leg until Rollins catches him in a powerbomb grip. Ambrose reverses into a hurricurrana and clotheslines Rollins over the Spanish table.

The two start fighting on the Spanish table until DIRTY DEEDS ON THE TABLE!

Ambrose struggles into the ring and starts to climb again. He touches the title when Rollins runs into the ring and hits Ambrose's knee with the TV monitor.

After the monitor strike, Rollins starts climbing, but Ambrose makes it up and starts pulling his leg. Rollins then delivers a Pedigree to end it. He starts rolling to the other side of the ladder to start climbing. He reaches the title when Ambrose somehow makes up up the ladder and pulls him off.

Rollins is dumped outside, and he goes into full Kill Mode. Rollins is powerbombed into the ring barricade, but Rollins isn't done yet. Ambrose is powerbombed into the other barricade.

Is Rollins done yet? Nope. He starts pulling a bunch of chairs out from under the ring. After setting them up, Ambrose is powerbombed onto a ladder and the chairs. Rollins throws more chairs and flips the ladder onto Ambrose. More chairs are thrown for good measure.

Rollins FINALLY makes it back into the ring and starts climbing the ladder, but AMBROSE IS ALIVE!!! HE GETS IN THE RING AND CATCHES UP TO ROLLINS!

The two brawl on the ladder and both men grab the title. The belt becomes unbuckled and both men fall from the ladder, but Rollins keeps a hold of it to win.

This happened.

Kofi Kingston came up short in his bid to win the Money in the Bank contract in a ladder match earlier in the evening, then Xavier Woods and Big E of The New Day lost their tag team titles to the Prime Time Players at tonight's Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) in Columbus, Ohio.

The finish came when Titus O'Neil, who has been getting a bit of a push ever since he was named "Dad of the Year," scored a pin on Woods after running wild on a hot tag.

Why hasn't he always been in that role, just throwing guys around like the powerhouse he is? Perhaps WWE finally listened to his good friend Batista and decided to make him a prominent member of the roster.

Even if it wasn't necessary and entirely too rushed, WWE ran back the Kevin Owens vs. John Cena match from Elimination Chamber at tonight's Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The former won that first match clean in the middle of the ring.

This time, Cena evened the score.

Once again, the two had a deeply meaningful back-and-forth match, each trading their trademark offense and, in Owens' case, stealing from the other and using it against him. As the match wore on, Cena became increasingly more frustrated at the fact that he couldn't put the NXT champion away.

This included getting in the referee's face and yelling about a near fall.

They also stayed true to previous encounters with strong psychology, such as Cena countering a pop up powerbomb attempt with a hurricanrana and Owens' getting right up into a superkick for a near fall.

In the end, it was all about breaking out the biggest guns and whose big gun would score the kill. After so many close calls, from so many big spots, it felt like this battle would never end.

Ultimately, Cena hit a Springboard Stunner and immediately followed it up with an AA that finally got the pinfall and the victory to even the series at 1-1.

After, Cena handed Owens the NXT title and went to shake Owens' hand and raise it above his head. Owens accepted at first, then kicked Cena in the gut and hit an apron powerbomb.

Twin magic!

As Nikki Bella entered the ring for her title match against Paige at tonight's Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, the commentary team pushed the fact that she's been Divas champion for 200 days.

Add another one.

They also pushed how important the title is while the ladies were given a decent amount of time to work. They made the most of that time too, trading near falls and submissions all the way up until the finish. That's when the Bella twins pulled their old twin magic trick, with Brie trading places with Nikki and looking to score a roll up pinfall.

Only this time, Paige rolled through and pinned Brie. She thought she was the new champion until Brie started pulling paper out of her top to show that she wasn't, in fact, Nikki, and the match would continue.

Paige kicked Brie out of the ring but turned around into an elbow from Nikki before the Rack Attack scored the pinfall to retain the Divas title.

Talk about heat -- the fans in the arena HATED this finish.
