WWE production never ceases to amaze me.

__________________________________

Out comes our host for the evening- Hulk Hogan.

Loud Hogan chant and he want's to tell us something brother.

He welcomes everyone in the audience and watching on the WWFE network. Cole says Hogan thinks he is back at Wrestlemania III.

Hogan proceeds to then call it the Silverdome. He really does think he is at Mania III.

He corrects himself and then starts to talk about the importance of Wrestlemania moments when....

*GLASS SHATTER*

Austin makes his way out.

Austin celebrates and then has a quick staredown with Hogan before asking for a Hell Yeah.

Austin says he normally would open a can of whoop ass and asks if we want him to do so on Hogan while he makes fun of Hogan for calling it the silverdome.

Austin then plays with the fans and the what chant as he talks about sitting next to Hogan last night at the HoF.

Austin then thanks Hogan for all he has done for the business.

Hogan asks for a Hell Yeah for Stone Cold and the fans oblige.

Austin finishes up with some comments about the new generation when....

CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?

Out comes the Rock.

He high fives Hogan and then hugs Austin.

Loud Rocky chant erupts as he takes hold of the mic.

Rock does his schtick and talks about his great memories with Mania.

Rock says that Bryan will rise tonight much like Austin did.

Rock does some more Rockisms and then talks about what an honor it is to be here.

Each of the three men go through their catch phrase to end the segment.

The three then share some Steveweisers

So here's this.

We're now just a number of hours away from the start of WrestleMania 30 tonight (Sun., April 6, 2014) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, and while rumors persist that CM Punk will be making his return to WWE after over two months away, no one is sure if that's going to happen.

In fact, it's looking more and more likely he won't be there.

Here's this:

At this exact moment at least, CM Punk is in Chicago #f4wmania30 #WrestleMania

It's certainly not out of this world to think Punk could make it to New Orleans from Chicago in a matter of hours, especially if that's what WWE wanted. There's also the possibility that this is misinformation, though Alvarez is typically very reliable with these things. (Editor's note: Some of you are saying Punk was spotted at a Chicago Blackhawks game today, which explains his being in Chicago.)

So we'll just continue to do what we've been doing all along: Update as we go, expect nothing, and hope for the best.

In this series, we answer the hard questions with a simple yes or no. Today: Will Daniel Bryan leave WrestleMania XXX as champion?

It's been awhile since we did one of these, so time to overcompensate! Each day this week we will answer a WrestleMania XXX related question.

Yesterday we asked "Does Sting make an appearance at WrestleMania XXX?" With 261 votes, 41-percent of you said "Yes" and 59-percent said "No". Those of you who said no felt that if Sting does show up at all, it will be the next night on Raw.

Moving on to the best comment, via BIGPALE:

"They are going to be pushing the Network hard in the post-Mania season, since Mania itself isn't there to push it for them. Bring him out after the Taker match. I'm thinking, as Taker is celebrating. Lights go out, come back, Sting in the ring, baseball bat and all, light out, come back and he's gone, 75,000 flip out. The next night they can hype it up and talk about ‘the show that you can re-watch as many times as you want, right now for only $9.99.' That's a big sell for the Network."

WRESTLEMANIA 30 PREDICTIONS

The Usos vs. Rybaxel vs. Real Americans vs. Los Matadores

The General: I actually like that this match was put on the pre-show because I like to imagine the participants are hyping themselves up for it by thinking they can steal the show with a long match that isn't in danger of being cut short due to time constraints. We got a bit of a preview of this on Raw this past Monday night, though that was an eight-man tag instead of a fatal four-way. That means we have a lot more chaos to look forward to in this match. There isn't much story for this match, though it's possible Cesaro and Jack Swagger could split up here, especially if the decision is made to keep The Shield together. I'll go with that as the big angle with the titles staying on the two Samoans they came in with.

Pick: The Usos

Sean Rueter: The only thing making me second guess the champs retaining here is the decision to hold off on the break-up of The Real Americans. The face reactions for Cesaro and the catch phrase make a win for Zeb's boys a possibility, but I imagine they'll count on a spot-filled match to get the crowd going with the likable twins retaining after one of the pins Curtis Axel.

Pick: The Usos

Keith Harris: This should be a pleasant crowd warmer and should tease dissension between Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro before their imminent breakup, but less is more here. A title change would be forgotten about long before the end of the night and The Usos really deserve a long run with the belts, after being underrated workhorses for so long and gradually building momentum over the last year with one sterling performance after another.

Pick: The Usos

Cain A. Knight: This should be a fun match because of Cesaro, the Usos, El Torito, and Curtis Axel's nipples. And maybe Ryback will live tweet (and delete) as Cesaro is swinging him around the squared circle. Ultimately it will come down to either the Usos or the Real Americans walking out as tag team champions. It seems to me that the Real Americans are probably headed for a split shortly after WrestleMania 30, so it wouldn't make much sense to put the tag titles on them right now.

Pick: The Usos

The Shield vs. Kane & New Age Outlaws

The General: I wish I could care about this match as far as the story line goes, but I really don't. The New Age Outlaws have never been presented as legitimate threats while Kane only represents that because of his position of power. The thing about that is his position of power has only given him two frogs over 40 who aren't feeling jumpy. I expect a decent match because it's The Shield and that's what they do, but there's nothing here to be excited about, especially because it no longer feels like there are plans to break the trio apart.

Pick: The Shield

Sean Rueter: This pick is probably coming from my heart more than my head, but I want a few more months of The Hounds as good guys. The only way it would make any kind of sense for The Authority team to win would be if Ambrose and/or Rollins turned on Reigns - the only time the veterans have made any kind of a dent in The Shield's armor they needed to hire three other teams to soften them up first. I just hope it can live up to the suddenly high standards we have for WWE trios matches.

Pick: The Shield

Keith Harris: A month ago, I'd have been predicting the disintegration of The Shield here, but the superb quality of their bouts against The Wyatt Family and the crowd warming to them to a surprising degree in their confrontations with Kane, should cause them to put the brakes on that idea. Which is a good thing in my book. Roman Reigns definitely has headliner potential, but the current fate of Big E shows the risks of breaking up a good act too soon, especially when it hides the inexperience and weaknesses of their most junior member. This also should be the time for youth to shine, as it's unlikely their middle aged opposition will see many more WrestleMania moments other than their inevitable WWE Hall Of Fame inductions.

Pick: The Shield

Cain A. Knight: The Shield never have a bad match so this one should at least be ok. However, there isn't much potential for a show-stealing performance from the popular trio on the biggest stage of them all. This match seems like a wasted opportunity considering that Harper and Rowan do not have a match on the card. The main issue is that Kane and the Outlaws have a combined work rate that is worse than almost any other trio that The Shield has faced off against since their debut. And even in the case that Kane and the Outlaws exceed my expectations in that regard, this match will still face a typical undercard time constraint that will prevent it from standing out. As for the booking of this match, if I didn't read all the rumors indicating a potential Shield break up at this event, I would not expect it to go down this soon considering how hot they are right now. So in this case I will ignore the rumors and stick with basic logic. And the basic logic says that The Shield should pulverize these dinosaurs from the past and save the break up for when the stakes are higher.

Pick: The Shield

Divas Championship Invitational

The General: This match is going to be amazing, not because it will be a technical masterpiece on par with the Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart Iron Man match from WrestleMania 12 but because it will be a modified clusterfuck of epic proportions. Consider this: how many good Divas matches have you seen in the past three years? I can only think of AJ Lee vs. Natalya from Main Event a couple weeks ago, and that's it. Natalya has been awful since then and AJ hasn't been given much time to do her thing, with the focus instead on her pending break up with Tamina Snuka. All that to say this: The Divas division can barely put together a good match with only two women in the ring at one time. Here, they're going to have to do it with 14 women in there at one time. The best part? This isn't a battle royal, it's one fall to a finish. Anyone can pin anyone else and whoever does so wins the Divas title. This is going to be awesome. I'll go with Daniel Bryan's better half.

Pick: Brie Bella

Sean Rueter: She's survived everything they've thrown at her, and countless predictions of a Total Divas-driven title change. This match was booked by a heel authority figure just to stack the deck against her. Almost everything about her booking leading into WrestleMania says babyface. Nobody is built up enough to make sense as champ other than her, as I think they have wisely decided that the target audience for the E! reality show (and its taping schedule) make having the belt appear their unnecessary and unwieldy. No, I don't think they have any clue what they're doing with the division, and given that they won't mess with what has largely been a successful formula: AJ as champ, Total Divas as Total Divas.

Pick: AJ Lee

Keith Harris: I'm not buying the CM Punk will shock the world by returning at WrestleMania stories and expect WWE will give his new fiancee an early wedding present by having her immediately drop her beloved Divas strap. Given who they're dating, one of The Bellas would be the favourites to get the nod. Nikki's lover has the most clout, but Brie would be the more sentimental choice, potentially winning the gold on the same night as her soon to be hubby does, being perfectly sappy reality TV fodder. So I have to go with the latter option, as Total Divas seems much more important than anything else the women do on WWE television nowadays.

Pick: Brie Bella

Cain A. Knight: This match is going to be a train wreck, but it could still be extremely fascinating to see how WWE puts together a one-fall match involving 14 divas. It is tempting to predict that AJ will finally lose the championship here because there are several divas (Emma, Brie, Nikki, Summer, Natalya, Naomi) who could be in line for a push. However I think that WWE is going to go the other way here. AJ has beaten every opponent who has challenged for her championship on PPV. I think this match will be AJ's capstone to that dominant run, and she will simultaneously conquer them all to finally prove that none of the current divas are in her league.

Pick: AJ Lee

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The General: There's a big part of me that thinks WWE is of the belief that Big Show has to win this match due to the natural connection between himself and Andre the Giant, even if none exists in reality. Then again, there is ample opportunity to use this match to push a wrestler who creative has struggled to come up with stories for, like a Fandango or a Big E or even an Alberto Del Rio. Then again, Show is one of those guys who gets pushed big, fails, gets knocked back down the card for a bit, then gets pushed big again. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he won here as his next big push that will undoubtedly go nowhere. Keep in mind, there are four slots still available in this match as of this writing, and no word just yet on who will occupy those slots. I'm going to bet on Alexander Rusev finally making a splash so WWE can pay off all those weeks of wasting our time with three minute segments where Lana made you want to pierce your own skull with an axe and Rusev said things that nearly put you to sleep. It's time to put him to work.

Pick: Alexander Rusev

Sean Rueter: Looking at the list of announced entrants, and the pervasive rumor that went around about a certain Bulgarian "super athletic", I'd say there are eight names that have a realistic shot of winning this bad boy. Some would be more surprising than others, others more pleasing to my cynical smark heart, but if any of Dolph Ziggler, Big E, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Big Show, Cody Rhodes, The Miz or Alexander Rusev was the last man in the ring, I wouldn't fall of the couch. Miz and Del Rio are always candidates for an out-of-nowhere push for public relations reasons, but their booking the last month or so (Miz especially) would make it almost a swerve for swerve's sake to have them win. Rhodes seems more likely to somehow get hosed by his big brother, and I'm just not sure E or Dolph have enough support backstage to get a rub here. That leaves the super-heavyweights. I think we would have seen Rusev in action somewhere other than NXT between the Rumble and now if they had any idea of what they wanted to do with him. Given that he's not even a lock to be in the match, I'm not picking him. And I think last fall taught them that there's a use for Big Show, but it's not as the focal point of anything more than a mid-card angle. He should look good as the last man the winner dumps over the top rope, though.

Pick: Sheamus

Hulk Holland: I think this match could be a great way to give a rub to a future star if the organization makes it a part of the annual WrestleMania pay-per-view (PPV) event. But for the inaugural trophy, it's hard not to favor The Big Show. He certainly doesn't need the juice, but for the sake of continuity, he did have that whole "I'm related to Andre the Giant" shtick when he debuted in WCW way back when. In addition, you can still make a young guy look strong the same way you do in any other battle royal. Have him eliminate a shit-ton of other superstars, then get dumped in the final four by way of sneak attack. And hey, anything that keeps The Big Show out of the main event is fine by me.

Pick: Big Show

Keith Harris: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: Predicting this match is a bit of a crapshoot, as Vince McMahon could wake up on the day and decide out of the blue that he's gonna give Rey Mysterio the nod or the right person gets into his ear and convinces him to give Dolph Ziggler another shot or they've got a secret victor lined up that's not on the announced list. Given that everyone in the match has been treading water in the lead up to WrestleMania 30, it probably makes most sense to give the winning spot to an outsider who'll be around for a bit. Rob Van Dam fits the bill, so he's my slightly out of the box pick to win.

Pick: Rob Van Dam

Cain A. Knight: Big Show has been pushed as the favorite to win this match, so right away I am going to discard him from consideration for being too obvious. If a monster is going to win this match, I'd pick Rusev instead of Big Show or Mark Henry. Miz and Fandango have WrestleMania undefeated streaks on the line here, but killing those streaks off is really no big deal since those guys are just different levels of jobber at this point. Glancing through the list of competitors, Sheamus stands out as the guy with the most star power who is also not on the downside of his career. Sheamus has been an afterthought for much of the last year, but his past pushes show that WWE loves the guy. He has defeated Cena multiple times for the WWE Championship and he held on to the world heavyweight title for over 200 days back in 2012. Sheamus was also one of the final three survivor in this year's Royal Rumble, which is a much more important Battle Royal than this one. It's either Sheamus or Rusev, so I'll stick with the guy who WWE has a record of pushing hard.

Pick: Sheamus

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

The General: <strike>Winning and losing is not the only thing that matters in pro wrestling or in life. We know this because that is the message John Cena delivers to us each and every time he appears on our television sets on WWE programs we watch. He wins often, sure, but it's only because he never gives up. The message is clear: Stay true to your values, always work as hard as possible, and great things will happen for you. That's the message Bray Wyatt is here to attack. He'll do so like any great defense lawyer, by methodically destroying Cena's credibility. First, he tells you Cena is liar. He may claim to represent hustle, loyalty, and respect, but he's never really been faced with having to succeed outside of those means. Wyatt is going to make Cena make a decision between winning a match, therefore proving himself a liar, or losing a match and staying true to all that makes him what he has always been. He will make the right choice.</strike> I wrote everything before this before the go home episode of Raw. They killed this feud with Cena's promo. He'll probably win now because that's what WWE does.

Pick: John Cena

Sean Rueter: I still can't bring myself to believe that the king of Make-a-Wish will be wearing a sheep's mask or otherwise being cradled in the arms of a scary cult figure at any point during the biggest show of the year, regardless of how well the feud has been booked or how many other babyfaces will be going over on the card. I fantasy booked a way to have Cena stand tall while still giving Bray the opportunity to say that he "won" in a Raw preview a couple of weeks ago, but I don't have a whole lot of faith in WWE delivering that level of nuance in a story, either. I do think they will head toward that kind of a finish, though. Ideally, Wyatt would win by disqualification by causing "The Champ" to snap, Cena could then pose with the Hulkster for the crowd and The Eater of Worlds could claim victory in the record books and on his own scorecard of proving John to be a "liar". Or they could just have Cena win by DQ due to interference by The Family. Either way, I do not expect to see Cena taking a pin here.

Pick: Cena stands tall, Wyatt can claim victory

Hulk Holland: WWE is in a tough spot here. Bray Wyatt is the hottest heel in the business, but at the same time, not yet an established main event draw. Has he earned the right to go over John Cena at WrestleMania, the granddaddy of them all? If we look at what is best for the program, then yes, and ride this thing all the way to SummerSlam where the hero prevails. But in all likelihood, Cena will leave New Orleans STANDING TALL because he has the biggest name in the company and all the usual talking points. And if you think a young star losing to John Cena in a great match is not a big deal, just remember what happened to Damien Sandow. Follow ... the briefcase.

Pick: John Cena

Keith Harris: Bray Wyatt is on the cusp of greatness. He's a superlative talker, captivatingly charismatic and is growing in confidence as a worker. There's just one thing he lacks, credibility that he is a real threat to WWE's made men like John Cena. Of course, that could all change with one bold swoop at WrestleMania 30. WWE needs to heed the warning of the Royal Rumble hijack, which was more than just a cry in favour of Daniel Bryan, but also a vocal protest against the tired old status quo. Moreover, there's no reason for Cena to win the first major meeting between he and the Wyatt Family, which if booked smartly could last well into the summer months, as it's not like they need him to win to send the fans home happy. Given how the other matches look to go, Wyatt winning would be the smart move and WWE usually gets those decisions right at this time of the year, so he's my pick to win.

Pick: Bray Wyatt

Cain A. Knight: This feud has made me realize how just how jaded I am when it comes to expectations for John Cena story lines. I hear everyone saying how great this feud has been, how Cena's character is changing, how Bray Wyatt is killing it on the mic, and yet I find myself completely unable to get excited for this one. WWE has teased interesting twists for Cena's character multiple times in recent years. Whether it is joining Nexus, embracing the hate, or being faced with a personal crisis after losing a must-win match to The Rock, these stories all end with the same old boring and stale Cena character standing tall with that goofy smile on his face. It's exactly like CM Punk's penultimate tweet: the view never changes. And so I absolutely expect this one will end the same way too, even if it is a few months down the line when this all culminates. As for this particular match, I think it is pretty clear that Wyatt should win. But Cena doesn't lose clean to heels unless there is a stipulation involved, and there is no stipulation in this match. Considering that Wyatt has cost Cena multiple PPV matches in a row, I think Cena will gain his revenge here and protect his legacy. Bray Wyatt can always get his heavily gimmicked win against Cena at Extreme Rules.

Pick: John Cena

Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

The General: Let's just get it out of the way: Undertaker isn't losing this match. There's simply no way in hell WWE would be stupid enough to book him to lose to Brock Lesnar. Actually, there's no way in hell "The Deadman" would agree to do the job, but that's neither here nor there. So why would you care to see this if you already know the winner? Because something is going to happen during the match that will change your mind. Based on the story they seem to be telling at present time, I imagine Brock will succumb to some early offense from "The Phenom", still jittery at this massive undertaking of his, but once he settles into a groove, he'll take over the match and go about absolutely destroying Undertaker. I'm talking utter and complete destruction. Not like what Triple H did at WrestleMania 27 towards the end of their match. I'm talking twice as bad. I'm talking like Lesnar F-5'ing 'Taker through the Spanish announce table, then picking Undertaker up to put him in the ring to speed up his beating of the 10-count just so he can F-5 'Taker through the American announce table. It has to be a full on relentless assault and because it's "The Beast", it will become increasingly more difficult to believe Undertaker will win, even though we know he will. They'll create that doubt.

Pick: Undertaker

Sean Rueter: Haven't been a fan of this match-up since it started as a rumor, because there is zero suspense in the outcome. That's still the case, but I'm pretty excited nonetheless. These are two guys who can get you fired up for pro wrestling without ever opening their mouths, and they've got me wanting to see the ways they'll do damage to one another. The story will not have the epic scope that four years of HBK and Hunter gave us, but I think it could be every bit the spectacle we were treated to last year when old whatshisname was challenging The Streak. Just give me a well-worked ten minutes followed by Brock's angry/scared face and Paul Heyman screaming something hilarious right before a tombstone, then maybe someone in a trenchcoat with a baseball bat, and I'll be a happy camper.

Pick: Undertaker

Hulk Holland: This is probably the only lock on the entire card, but considering the caliber of wrestlers involved, it should still prove to be a fun ride. The Undertaker's streak is the ultimate gimmick in pro wrestling and one that isn't going to be handed over without monumental evidence that doing so will greatly benefit the bottom line. How does losing to Brock Lesnar help anyone involved? "The Beast Incarnate" moves the needle just by showing up. Wins and losses don't matter (see Cena, John) and it would be pointless to give him such a terrific rub, just to have him pack his bags and hole up in his mountain compound until next year's Royal Rumble. If it ever does get broken, expect it to be against an established star who still has a solid five-plus years left at the top. I can't say that about Lesnar, but I can say I will enjoy watching these two kill each other in 'Nawlins.

Pick: Undertaker

Keith Harris: There's been a tremendous amount of debate online about whether The Undertaker's streak should ever be broken, but few are arguing it should happen at WrestleMania 30. An honour like that shouldn't be given to a work-shy part-timer on the downswing of his stardom, who is highly unlikely to be around for years to come. The streak also should continue until it's clear The Deadman only has one or two matches left in the tank, at the very least. There's been no talk of immediate retirement, so this prediction is one of the safest no-brainers you'll ever see.

Pick: Undertaker

Cain A. Knight: This is the match that I am by far the most excited for on the WrestleMania card. Yeah, the storyline has been disappointing, but does anybody doubt that this match will deliver the goods? Undertaker's match has been the best fight on the card for 7 consecutive WrestleMania events. Brock Lesnar is one of the most entertaining pro wrestlers the world has ever known. The stakes of the undefeated streak always provide compelling drama. When you combine all those factors together, I am eternally Orton Hard at the thought of these two legends battling it out on this stage. We all know that Undertaker is winning, but this match will still have that moment where our hearts race with excitement and we hold our breath as Lesnar covers Undertaker for an almost certain 1-2-3. And when Undertaker kicks out, we are going to mark out like crazy and shout out celebratory profanities while high-fiving our buddies and generally losing our minds. And this is why we love pro wrestling.

Pick: Undertaker

Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H

The General: After everything that's happened, I can't imagine even Triple H is egotistical enough to halt Bryan's run to the top. I mean, sure, he kind of did it already last year but it's grown so much since then and while we've gotten here in large part thanks to the actions of another disgruntled star, at least we're here. At least the opportunity exists for WWE to right the wrongs of 2013, of which there were many, namely Bryan never getting his just due. There is absolutely no reason for Triple H to win this match other than to piss off the world. Fans won't riot. They won't tune out. They'll keep coming back. But Daniel Bryan the character will be killed dead. He won't ever get the chance to capitalize on all this momentum ever again. He'll always be the "B+" player Triple H has been trying to convince us he's always been. What's more, any and all enthusiasm for Bryan will vanish. It would be a crime against the gods of wrestling. But while "The Game" has shown he'll do the wrong thing and absolutely go over on a guy he shouldn't (Booker T at WrestleMania 19), he's also shown he'll do the job for a guy he should (John Cena at WrestleMania 22).

Pick: Daniel Bryan

Sean Rueter: And here...we...go. I may be living in a fantasy world, but I'm pretty confident that WWE does the right thing in New Orleans and send Bryan out of WrestleMania as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The question is, how do we get there? We should know right from this match if we're getting the version of The Game that tapped for John Cena and spent a summer jobbing to Batista, or the one who beat CM Punk to end the hottest summer the company has ever seen. And I wouldn't be shocked with any outcome ranging from DB pinning him clean but Trips inserting himself into the title match anyway, to his pinning The Beard following some heelish cheating with Bryan being placed back in the title tilt by some higher power. If it's the latter, then our boy needs to take him out clean in the main event. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The point is, Bryan's going to the triple threat. The more decisively the better.

Pick: Daniel Bryan

Hulk Holland: Yesterday I said that Brock Lesnar losing to The Undertaker was the only lock on the WrestleMania 30 card and I may be forced to reconsider. I just cannot imagine the backlash if Triple H not only beat Daniel Bryan, but advanced to the main event for a Triple H-threat match against Batista and Randy Orton. That is, essentially, every pro wrestling fan's worst nightmare in the era of the YES! movement and not even "The Game" is crazy enough to try to pull that off. It's one thing to make the fans hate you within the context of your current storyline. It's another thing to draw their ire because you have a shitty product. Having D-Bry bounced from the show before the main event is creative suicide ... unless there is a goofy finish and Shane or Vince McMahon returns to re-insert him into the main event as a Fatal Four-Way. Possible, but not plausible.

Pick: Daniel Bryan

Keith Harris: The betting odds are favouring Daniel Bryan, he has momentum on his side, but I have a funny feeling it won't all be plain sailing for him at WrestleMania 30. Given how WWE loves to troll their fanbase, hates their finishes being predictable and Hunter's notorious ego, I can't see a clean tap out victory for a B+ player on the way to greater glory before the night is over. At the very least, if Bryan wins, he'll be left battered, bruised and broken down, looking like easy pickings for the muscular Batista and venomous Randy Orton. But being the contrarian that I am, I can see WWE going even further with their plan to tease its game over for the Yes movement. Maybe there's interference from his cronies or maybe The Cerebral Assassin uses his trusty sledgehammer to pick up a tainted victory, but the finish won't stand thanks to a returning Vince McMahon ensuring justice is served and Daniel Bryan still gets the opportunity to wrestle for the WWE Championship in the main event.

Pick: Triple H, but Daniel Bryan still beats The Authority in the end

Cain A. Knight: Last year, WWE was faced with the incredibly obvious story of John Cena getting his win back on The Rock, and they followed through on this story with dogged stubbornness. This year, WWE was faced with the incredibly obvious story of Daniel Bryan triumphing over Triple H's authority. And yet it has taken several twists and turns (Punk walking out, Batista failing to get over as a babyface) to force WWE to pursue what should have been the obvious match all along. Now that we are finally here, is WWE going to follow the obvious booking and have Bryan defeat Triple H AND win the championship at WrestleMania 30? Of course not. Triple H is not going to book himself as the stepping stone to an even bigger win for Bryan later in the night. So either Bryan beats Triple H and comes up short later on, or Triple H beats Bryan here only for someone like Hulk Hogan or Vince McMahon to insert Daniel Bryan into the championship main event. This is too obvious of a win for Daniel Bryan, so I expect the latter scenario will unfold.

Pick: Triple H

Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. TBA

The General: In some ways, WWE has done a masterful job of setting up this main event. Here we have Randy Orton vs. Batista with the promise of a third man added to the mix, either Triple H or Daniel Bryan, and fans are so confused as to how things will play out, scenarios are being bandied about calling for a Fatal Four-Way involving all of the above. People really and genuinely have no idea what's going to happen here. What's more, any scenario doesn't seem entirely implausible. Well, that may not be true. The one conclusion I can't picture in my mind's eye is Orton walking out of the Superdome as WWE world heavyweight champion. It's either going to be Batista (huffing and puffing to the oxygen tanks that will surely be awaiting him at Gorilla) or Daniel Bryan (while the crowd goes insane chanting "YES" with him) or Triple H (while everyone in the building throws trash in the ring like it's a 1997 episode of Monday Nitro). No different than my prediction for the Bryan vs. Triple H match, I can't imagine WWE would tell this story in this way and not pay it off the way the story is begging to be paid off. That means Bryan beats Triple H, then he struggles but ultimately triumphs in the end and hoists those two championship titles over his head while the live audience gives him the greatest memory of his entire lifetime.

Pick: Daniel Bryan

Sean Rueter: As I prattled on about in the last prediction post, I'm not super-confident in the form this match will take. I think there's a greater than zero percent chance that it's a fourway, and that we get to the right outcome through the wrong set of doors. Could Bryan pin Orton following a Batista Bomb to The Viper? Would we be okay with that as long as Triple H had been dispatched with a Busaiku Knee? Does a win at 'Mania guarantee us anything more than a Mysterio-esque month of losses for The Beard followed by The Animal's promised title reign? Let's worry about all of that after the show. First, let's celebrate a Superdome full of people chanting YES!

Pick: Daniel Bryan

Hulk Holland: I don't think there is any question we're getting Daniel Bryan in the main event of WrestleMania 30. The only question now is, will Triple H join him? I wouldn't be surprised to see a screwy finish that sends both men to the headlining act, but I think once they all get there, D-Bry comes out the winner. It's really the only scenario that makes any sense after a six-month burial of the YES! movement. Even if you want to take the strap off him at the next pay-per-view (PPV) event or start some silly feud with Batista, fine, but this is the moment we, as fans, have all been building toward. Not only do we deserve it, we've earned it. So too, has Bryan. Anything else would be uncivilized.

Pick: Daniel Bryan

Keith Harris:

Cain A. Knight: The only thing that seems certain in this match, other than Batista being winded in less than 5 minutes, is that Randy Orton will lose the championship. I can see scenarios where Bryan, Batista, or even Triple H walks out as the champion. Can you imagine if this turns into a fatal 4-way, how surreal it might feel every time Triple H goes for the cover and is on the brink of once again being champion? He wouldn't really book himself to win this match, would he? Well, even I don't think WWE is that insane. It can be argued that WWE has ended the last 6 to 8 PPVs in a fashion where the customer plucked down a bunch of money only to get an unsatisfactory conclusion. WWE absolutely cannot continue that trend here at WrestleMania 30. If Daniel Bryan does not end the show with a championship in each hand while in the midst of an endless swarm of YES chants, then WWE really doesn't know what's best for business. And let's all just hope that the guest host Hulk Hogan inserts his mandatory WrestleMania pose at the conclusion of the John Cena match rather than this one.

Pick: Daniel Bryan

It was supposed to be returning hero Batista against dominant heel champ Randy Orton. Then people wouldn't stop chanting YES. Now we're guaranteed a triple threat (at least)...and an outcome that will determine the future of the "reality era".

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat

Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista vs. Triple H-Daniel Bryan winner

All signs pointed to the rolling heel champ Randy Orton, holder of the WWE title since last August at SummerSlam, unifier of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating none other than John Cena, colliding with Royal Rumble winner and returning babyface hero Batista in WrestleMania's main event.

But then the WWE Universe loudly let their opinion on the matter be known.

Now Daniel Bryan's YES movement, and Triple H's crusade to end that cause, have overshadowed the one-on-one match-up between the two former Evolution stars. And one way or the other, The Beard and/or The Game will play a role in deciding who leaves The Showcase of the Immortals with the belts.

The Road to WrestleMania 30

The Viper has held the WWE championship since SummerSlam, when the Money in the Bank contract and some help from Triple H's heel turn allowed him to pin Daniel Bryan and keep that man's first run with that belt from leaving Los Angeles.

Orton became the "face of the WWE", christened as the main man by Hunter and wife Stephanie McMahon's authority (which would shortly become known as The Authority). That began a two month journey where neither champ nor challenger could get the upper hand - or much satisfaction:

Bryan defeated Orton at Night of Champions, but The Game stripped him of the title the next night on Raw due to fast count by the referee which Triple H claimed that DB had conspired to make happen.

At Battleground, their rematch for the "held in abeyance" belt ended in a no contest when The Big Show, frustrated by being blackmailed by The Authority, knocked out both men.

Special guest referee and Daniel Bryan's former trainer Shawn Michaels superkicked The Beard at Hell in a Cell, allowing Orton to re-claim the title.

At that point, the powers-that-be attempted to move on with their plans, shuffling Bryan back down to the fringes of the main event while they inserted Big Show as #1 contender. When fans expressed their disinterest in that match-up with their voices and their wallets, WWE was able to distract them for the typically slower end of year shows by having Orton battle old foe John Cena with the new wrinkle of unifiying the WWE and World Heavyweight championships. Bryan spent this time working with CM Punk and Bray Wyatt, acts that the fans were enamored enough with to not revolt at their hero being removed from the title picture.

Then came Royal Rumble.

Despite zero indication from WWE that Bryan would even be in the Rumble match to determine the #1 contender to the now unified belts (retained by The Viper earlier in the show), fans were rabid for him to not only pull double duty on the show, but to head to WrestleMania for another shot at Orton. When that didn't happen, they took it out on everyone who wasn't Daniel Bryan - even a fan favorite veteran like Rey Mysterio.

No one got it worse than Batista.

After an initial warm reaction to the returning star, fans quickly turned on him. It was partially due to his not being Daniel Bryan, and the perception that he was being given a spot that Bryan had earned. Poor conditioning that kept him from doing much in the ring and antagonistic attitude toward fans didn't help, though.

Faced with a disasterous heel vs. heel main event that fans were openly hostile towards, WWE had no choice than to call an audible on their plans and give the people hope that they would get to cheer their favorite underdog on The Grandest Stage of All. Bryan began lobbying Triple H for a match at WrestleMania, stating that the only way he would ever get a fair shot, the only way he could ever be acknowledged as more than a B+ player, would be to beat The Game one-on-one. The Authority declined, and delayed. And then this happened...

The occupation of Raw lead to Hunter accepting not only a match with Bryan, but the stipulation that if The Beard could beat him, he would be inserted into the title match, which would become a triple threat.

If it seems like The Animal and the champ are getting lost in the shuffle of this, it's because they were. And that didn't sit well with either man, who lobbied the COO to reverse his decision and eliminate the chance of the YES man getting into their 'Mania main event.

Triple H didn't take kindly to being second guessed, or to his former Evolution stable mates doubting that he would take care of Daniel Bryan and end the YES movement before it ever came to a triple threat for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Now, both men know that they can lose the match, and the chance to leave WrestleMania with the title, without even being pinned.

With all of this swirling around them, their path to the the main event has been challenging in other ways. In addition to overcoming his cardio challenges to win the Rumble, Batista has had to shake off ring rust while feuding with multiple time champion Alberto Del Rio. And Orton had to survive five other men in the Elimination Chamber just a little more than a month ago just to keep his place in this match.

And while Triple H has been binding and beating his first opponent for tonight, Orton has dealt with no disqualification matches with both Bryan and Batista. Those bouts have seen The Animal and The Viper get in plenty of attacks on one another, while The Beard has celebrated with his followers.

Can the reassert themselves enough in New Orleans to overcome Bryan, Haitch...or both?

What's at Stake?

Not much, just the fate of the "reality era". With the exception of the Network stream, nothing at WrestleMania 30 will impact the immediate future of WWE like the booking of this story.

Would the risk a fan revolt of a magnitude of Pittsburgh times five by trolling the audience with a non-Bryan win? There's a school of thought that says the money is in the chase, and there's certainly people backstage who see something in continuing the "Daniel Bryan can't break through the glass ceiling" tale they've been telling for the last eight months. And there's also undoubtedly a few people who'd like to troll the smarks by keeping their "flavor the month" down.

Was Batista promised a title win when he signed his deal to return? Would they have committed to that win coming on the Grandest Stage of Them All? Can they count on him to deliver one-on-one main event matches if he's their champ?

Randy Orton has been doing some of the best work of his career as the insecure top man. Does the character still work if he doesn't have a strap over each shoulder?

Would the give the belts to a Hunter for a 14th time? Can he be the standard bearer of the company while also managing creative and developmental? Would the internet crack in two if he won?

With so many questions and so much at stake, it's not hyperbole to say that this match changes everything.

There's as much potential for a great match as there is for a controversial outcome...will Cena help make Wyatt a star, or is WrestleMania too big a stage for WWE to have their most marketable star lose?

Legacy or Liar?

Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena

It's been a long time since WWE has booked a match that has fans excited and trepadatious as this one. John Cena came back from his elbow injury and was immediately placed in the main event and title scenes. But since dropping the World Heavyweight Championship, he has shown a willingness to help create new stars.

It's hard to believe that Bray Wyatt hasn't even been on the main roster for a whole year. Since debuting in July, he's established himself as new school performer rocking an old school character, and fans have eaten it up. His wrestling has caught up with his mic work over the past few months, and everyone expects him to remain a big deal for a long time to come.

But will it start tonight at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans?

The Road to WrestleMania 30

The leader of the Cenation was derailed from his championship pursuits by The Wyatt Family when a distraction by Bray and his followers Luke Harper and Erick Rowan lead to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton's pinfall victory over John at Royal Rumble.

There was no immediate explanation for the action, and when inteference by The Eater of Worlds cost The Shield a match on Raw that would have sent the Hounds of Justice off to a title opportunity at Elimination Chamber, a feud between those two units developed that would keep Bray and company occupied until that pay-per-view (PPV).

But it was at the very same show that the twisted cult leader again cost Cena in a match for the top titles in WWE, as even the steel structure of the Elimation Chamber couldn't keep the hero of millions safe from an attack that lead to his being eliminated from the match eventually won by Orton.

That lead to an assault by The Wyatt Family the next night on Raw that left Cena hobbled:

But it was when he sought to embody his principles of hustle, loyalty and respect in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal that Cena was finally forced to address the Wyatt clan head on. While sharing a ring with WrestleMania host Hulk Hogan, Bray lead his charges down to the ring to harass both legends. "The Champ" could avoid the dangerous trio no longer, and issued a challenge for The Showcase of the Immortals. A challenge that Bray, eventually, accepted.

Since then, the man who's face adorns cereal boxes has admitted that he is scared of Bray Wyatt. He sat down with Michael Cole to explain as much, stating that the sadistic sermonizer's disregard for wins and losses is something he's unfamiliar in dealing with, and that he's afraid that Wyatt will turn him into something he's not, costing him his legacy.

The backwoods preacher has proclaimed similar sentiments, with his primary goal being to prove Cena a liar - someone who doesn't believe in the platitudes he spouts to the millions of fans who wear his merchandise. Through the course of a series of matches with Harper and Rowan, the Family wounded and humiliated Cena, including a memorable bout on the March 24th edition of Raw that ended with him strung in the ropes adorned with one of Erick's signature sheep masks.

On the last Monday night show before 'Mania, Cena seemed to find his groove, surprising the Wyatts in the ring after their match with R-Truth and cutting a promo where he vowed to become a monster if that was what it took to preserve his legacy.

What's at Stake?

About as much as there can be in a WrestleMania match that doesn't involve The Undertaker or one of the major titles.

Cena seems to be slowing down and showing a willingness to make younger stars look their best in their encounters with him. But that hasn't translated to a string of clean PPV losses, to new stars or old. Whether he or his employers want the man they just crowned as THE Superstar of the modern era with his victory over The Rock at WrestleMania 29 to lose at the following Show of Shows - or even if it's smart for him to - is a valid question that has been on fan's minds since this program was first rumored.

Is Wyatt hot enough to sustain a setback here, and take the rub of just having worked with THE top star in the company at the biggest show of the year? Bray seems different that past hot acts that hit the Cena ceiling and never recovered, so hopefully he has enough momentum to roll right into the next stage of his career with continued support, but you never know.

Can either man win without winning, if Creative tells the story well enough? Can Wyatt say he proved his point if Cena needs to resort to brutality to defeat him? Can "The Champ" share a moment with his ticket and merchandise buying fans (and Hulk Hogan, who at one point had promised to be in Cena's corner for the match) after he's taken a loss?

There is as much potential for controversy about the outcome as their is for a great match, and this is sure to be one that we're talking about for months and years to come.

GET HYPED

There is no match on the entire WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Sun., April 6, 2014) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, that has featured a better build up than Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H. What you see above is the final hype video for the big showdown, apparently scheduled to go on second to last on the show.

Bryan has been chasing the WWE world heavyweight championship title since losing it five minutes after winning it from John Cena at SummerSlam last year. Triple H, the man who hit him with a Pedigree and cost him the title, has been getting in his way at every turn.

At first, the two looked to be going their separate ways but after some dumb luck and a series of unfortunate (or fortunate, I guess) events, the two are now on a collision course in what should be an absolute classic. Considering Bryan has never been given the chance to paint a masterpiece on the grandest stage of the all, he may just make it his mission to turn in his greatest performance to date.

It's almost time, Cagesiders. Get hyped, and stay hyped.
