Are you ready?
It’s been rumored for a while, and WWE dropped the bombshell earlier this morning with a story on WWE.com and this video from one of the main eventers...
On Saturday, October 6th, @WWE brings the Super Show-Down to the @MCG in Melbourne, Australia ... the largest live event. EVER.

Melbourne Cricket Ground holds over 100,000, and WWE is already loading up the card for the Oct. 6 ‘largest live event ever’. In addition to promising a daunting list of talent (“card subject to change” caveats apply, of course) - John Cena, Ronda Rousey, Shane McMahon, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Nia Jax, AJ Styles, Charlotte Flair, Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Big Show, Bray Wyatt and Aussies Billie Kay & Peyton Royce of The IIconics - the Super Show-Down will feature a WrestleMania 28 rematch between Triple H and The Undertaker.
WWE Super Show-Down is being produced in conjunction with Australian promoter Paul Dainty and his company TEG Dainty, and while speaking on the event, you can tell prt of the plan is to elevate Australia in the eyes of the world, so that like Saudi Arabia and Greatest Royal Rumble, this show will aim to grow a global market for WWE and hype the hosts are somewhere consumers and other companies should be spending their money.
Says Dainty:
“Australia has always been a special place for WWE, and our fans are among the most enthusiastic on the globe. This once-in-a-lifetime spectacular will showcase Australia to a global audience of millions in one of the world’s most iconic sports stadiums.”
As Vince McMahon emphasizes, this will be breaking WWE’s record for a show in Australia. WWE’s CEO seems careful to not step on his standing claim they packed more than 101K people into AT&T Stadium in Texas for WrestleMania 32, but this is clearly the largest event for The ‘E in Australia, topping the 56,743 they drew for 2002’s Global Warning in Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium.
Tickets will go on sale on June 28, with an exclusive pre-sale for customers of Australian telecom giant Telestra running a week before. Unlike Greatest Royal Rumble, WWE has already confirmed the show will air on WWE Network and be available globally on pay-per-view (PPV).
