There were concerns last night about the well-being of Shannon ‘Daffney’ Spruill. Mick Foley called attention to the matter on Twitter, saying that, “She’s in a bad personal place and is threatening to harm herself” during a disturbing broadcast on Instagram live. Emergency services were said to be contacted and attempting to locate her.
A short while ago, SHIMMER issued the following statement about the death of Daffney.
"We are very sad to have to announce the passing of Shannon Spruill aka Daffney Unger @screamqueendaff. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time.

I will miss you my logical sister from another mister."

Daffney Unger was 46 years old at the time of her death. The biggest stage she performed on in pro wrestling was in WCW around 1999 to 2001, where she was aligned with Crowbar and got over with her trademark scream.
She has a long documented history of concussions and maltreatment in pro wrestling, and this included a legal battle with TNA over her medical bills.
Please join everyone here at Cageside Seats in wishing the best for Daffney’s family and friends during this very difficult time.
