‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton has died at the age of 62 years old. The sad news was shared on Facebook by his sister Debbie:
I never wanted to have to post this, but my Little Brother Beautiful Bobby Eaton passed away last night. When i find out all the details i will post them .
Bobby was the kindest, loving person you would ever meet. I loved him so much and going to miss him.
Eaton is regarded as one of the top workers of his era, whose style in the ring was far ahead of his time. He’s most well known as a member of one of the greatest tag teams of all time, The Midnight Express. Their feud with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express was one of the big draws of the 1980’s. He would go on to wrestle for WCW throughout the entire 1990’s, before moving on to the independent scene after WCW went out of business.
In addition to being part of multiple incarnations of The Midnight Express with Dennis Condrey and Stan Lane (along with Jim Cornette), Eaton teamed up with wrestlers like Koko B. Ware, Arn Anderson, and William Regal during his career. Eaton also frequently competed against Randy Savage during the early years of his career, in the late 1970’s.
The wrestling world has been mourning his death on social media:
The National Wrestling Alliance is Saddened to hear about the passing of the legendary 'Beautiful' Bobby Eaton.
