Moxley will look to run his Bloodsport record to 3 - 0 before WrestleMania

On Saturday night (Feb. 20) at GCW’s Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 5, Jon Moxley knocked Davey Boy Smith Jr. out with a flurry of strikes and a Paradigm Shift. The hard-hitting main event drew a ton of praise online, and ran Mox’s record in the worked MMA, no-ropes, victory by knockout or submission only promotion to 2 - 0.

Many fans figured this would be the only Bloodsport stop on Mox’s paternity leave tour (the assumption is he’ll take some time off after defending the IWGP United States title against KENTA on NJPW Strong this upcoming Friday night, and facing Kenny Omega in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match at AEW Revolution on Mar. 7). But the Death Rider has at least one more piece of business to attend to...

A showdown between Moxley and the man whose name is above the marquee for this particular GCW brand was originally scheduled back in 2019, but a staph infection sidelined Mox. They tried to reschedule it for last year’s WrestleMania week in Tampa. That was obviously nixed by the pandemic.
