The Forbidden Door gives GCW two more champs

GCW’s Instagram

One of the reasons Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) has become “The” independent company on the U.S. scene is their use of high profile talent signed to other companies.

Their World title scene has been anchored by Nick Gage, who primarily works for GCW and is seen as their star. But he’s been chasing Impact’s Matt Cardona and AEW’s Jon Moxley all year. Mox currently holds that strap, and probably will until at least the Hammerstein Ballroom show in Manhattan GCW announced for January of 2022.

At their Fight Club show in Atlantic City earlier this month, GCW brought in another act that’s synonymous with a different company - Ring of Honor’s The Briscoes. Dem Boys showed up in response to GCW Tag champs Matthew Justice & Mance Warner’s claim that no other team in the business could touch them.

That set-up a title fight at War Ready this past Saturday (Oct. 23), and the Briscoe brothers have now joined Moxley as Forbidden Door champions in GCW. They won the belts with simultaneous pins on Justice and Warner after delivering their Jay Driller & Froggy Bow finishers.

Warning: This promo is NSFW, and if you’re working from home, you’ll want the young ‘uns to cover their ears.

War Ready was headlined by Gage defeating Minoru Suzuki in a deathmatch (natch), and the two men appeared to agree to run it back. So add that rematch to another Gage/Mox bout and a Briscoes title defense to the big matches GCW has up its sleeve.

Does all this have you chanting “G-C-Dub” yet?
