The newest member of the ‘Fired by WWE’ stable cuts his welcome promo

Can’t be mad whenever an ex-WWE employee uses that portion of their resume as part of their gimmick in another company or on the independents. It’s sometimes difficult to tell from inside the internet wrestling bubble, but that’s the only way a great many wrestling fans ever know people are in the business - by what they did while Vince McMahon was signing their checks.

It’s especially difficult when someone creatively works it into their act, as writer RD Evans has with the video announcing he’s taking booking for the first time since joining WWE in 2016.

You probably remember Evans as the “you can’t fire me, I quit!” guy from this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony. That comes up in the tweeted clip which introduces “Quitman” to the world, along with a proposed first match which will make a couple folks back at the Cageside offices happy, but apparently not Road Dogg...

If you watched any of his pre-WWE personas in Ring of Honor or Chikara, you probably don’t need to be sold on the former-Archibald Peck. If you didn’t this should give you a bit of a taste of what to expect.

In short, don’t judge him off the one Baron Corbin promo.
