The artists formerly known as Enzo Amore and Big Cass had a falling out during their run in WWE, both on-screen and off. Both, however, were ultimately fired from the company for various conduct related issues. They had a great deal of potential and both were well pushed, but they couldn’t get out of their own way.
The two made up personally, as they told SI, when Cass had a seizure at a House of Hardcore event and Enzo reached out as a friend.
At some point, they got back together professionally, as Free AgentZ collectively and nZo and CazXL individually, and that came out to the world when they crashed the G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden. Realistically, if the two wanted to continue their respective careers in pro wrestling they knew they needed to get back together to do it.
Here’s what Enzo said to SI about their plans:
“We had the opportunity of a lifetime with the WWE to see the world and build our brand, and now we are Free AgentZ. Nobody in WWE, AEW, New Japan, Ring of Honor, or Impact has been given the opportunity we’ve had. We have a social media following, a presence, and a voice despite not working for a company right now. In order to take advantage of that, we plan on doing it in ways that have never been done before.
“We are now business owners of our brand with creative control over our work. We own our own music, artwork, and merchandise. We have a television show in the works, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
There you have it.
