Since Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks took on the Dave Meltzer-inspired challenge, the question among wrestling fans and industry observers has been, “how will they sell 10,000 tickets to a self-promoted show?”
A popular, usually tongue-in-cheek answer has often been, “get CM Punk”.
Well... does this count?

It’s interesting they’re only casually mentioning the fact this is the day before All In... rather than more loudly proclaiming The Straight-Edge Superstar as part of the weekend’s events given the Aug. 31 signing is in the same major metropolitan area, at a partnering business where wrestlers working Rhodes and The Bucks’ show will be signing all weekend and which will be a stop on the shuttle route from the official hotel. Maybe his UFC contract doesn’t allow for much more than that?
So, because of that and the facts it’s also in his beloved home town, with a company he also does business - it’s not CM PUNK RETURN IMMINENT. There’s no sign he’ll wrestle Saturday night, or attack Kazuchika Okada to set up a run in New Japan.
But it makes things like that at least seem a little more realistic, and Team All In knows there will be a lot of speculation along those lines now and...
Well played, Cody, Matt and Nick.
You more likely to be all in now, Cagesiders?
