Any man with two hands deserves his shot at ten pounds of gold. Last weekend none other than former WWE wrestler James Ellsworth popped up at a Championship Wrestling From Hollywood show to challenge current NWA Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis to a title match.
Today (Feb. 15) the NWA released the full championship match between Ellsworth and Aldis. Check out the match above for results, with the opening bell between Ellwsworth and Aldis sounding right around the 11:15 mark of the video.
When Nick Aldis became NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion he began what he dubbed the ‘Aldis Crusade’. The crusade will be a 20 match schedule that will feature Aldis defending his title versus all comers in attempt to prove how seriously he takes the prestigious NWA championship.
For his first challenger Aldis had only one request; a man who either was a World’s Champion or beat a World’s Champion. Today James Ellsworth is the man.
