David Arquette will always be synonymous with failed booking and a pro wrestling promotion at its absolute worst thanks to the creative powers that be at WCW putting the world heavyweight title on him all the way back in the late 90s. Even now, he takes heat for it, despite only wrestling on the independent circuit and doing what he can to put his time in without taking anything away from any other wrestlers.
He’s been doing things the right way for some time, and while it may have made a difference to some, others aren’t so easily convinced. So when NWA announced he would be appearing at an event early next year, the hate came pouring in and he had enough of it:
