It was certainly a memorable night at the Hi Hat in Los Angeles on Nov. 16. The venue hosted L.A. Confidential, an indie wrestling show promoted by Joey Janela and Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).

Janela himself was not at the Survivor Series weekend show, as he recently underwent his own knee surgery and couldn’t fly out. The indie wrestler & promoter live tweeted the show and the ring announcer assured fans he was still involved in everything they saw happening. Several WWE stars were backstage, according to PWInsider, including Kassius Ohno, Matt Riddle & Sheamus.

The show aired live and is available for replay on Fite.TV at this link. Some of your $13.99 goes to a great cause, too, as Janela and GCW announced they’re donating 25% of pay-per-view (PPV) revenue to the Ventura County Community Foundation to benefit families of victims off the mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, California on Nov. 7.

It was not a great night for Marko Stunt, however. The diminutive high flier who broke out in 2018 working ALL IN, PWG and MLW suffered a broken shin while wrestling Eli Everfly. It was hard to see on the stream, but Stunt apparently hit his leg on the stage while attempting this spot - delivering a Canadian Destroyer to Everfly through a door someone had balanced off the side of the stage to the floor:

The show, which had even more dangerous craziness yet to come, was stopped as the announcers asked fans to clear a path so Stunt could be helped to the back.

Stunt’s confirmed the injury, and Janela says he plans to set-up a fundraiser to help the Mississippi native pay for his surgery:
