Unfortunately Jody Fleisch is out with a leg injury sustained at AIW last night, but Powerbomb will be announcing the replacement main event for the show right at the start of the show! Plus, after the main show, Powerbomb are promising the debut of This Very Second, a late night show hosted by Bryce Remsburg.
Here's a run-down of the card for tonight, and we'll update with basic results here, too:
Jody Fleisch kicks the show off by cutting a promo about how gutted he is to be out hurt on his triumphant return to the United States and how much he was looking forward to working here in Philadelphia when Stokely Hathaway interrupts.
He thanks Jody and says he owes him an apology since he’s been talking bad about him but he did him and Jonathan Gresham a favor, since the big main event announcement is that there’s no announcement. And he gets it, on the way out here he tore both quads but he’s still standing. Fleisch is a mere mortal, but Hathaway and Gresham are wrestling gods, and no one can challenge them.
This brings Nick Gage out! He advises Stokely to get out of the ring, and Mr. Hathaway is smart enough to oblige. Nick puts Jody over and says tonight Gresham might be a better wrestler but he ain’t a better fighter, and he’s bringing straight violence tonight! Who’s the man?
Wheeler YUTA over Dominic Garrini by pinfall, countering a triangle choke into a bridging pin.
Logan Easton LaRoux over AJ Gray, Anthony Greene, and Razerhawk by pinfall with a lateral press on Greene, stealing it after Gray hit a lariat and splash.
Allie Kat over Laynie Luck by pinfall with the Pussy Piledriver.
Tom Lawlor over Maxwell Jacob Friedman by submission with a move I can’t quite call.
Thick Boys (Jay Freddie & John Silver) over Ugly Ducklings (Lance Lude & Rob Killjoy) by pinfall with a double Emerald Flowsion on Lude.
Jonathan Gresham (c) over Nick Gage by countout after locking a sleeper hold on the floor, retaining the Powerbomb.tv Independent Wrestling Championship.
