Watch Alberto El Patron's debut promo for WCPW

Alberto El Patron is fast at work to get in his 60 matches per year. It looks like he'll be starting with WhatCulture Professional Wrestling (WCPW) as his debut promo airs on WCPW Loaded: Episode 10 on Saturday, September 24 at 8pm UK / 3pm ET streaming on YouTube.

I've never seen WCPW, but here is the story as best I can figure out. There were plans for a match between Jay Lethal and El Ligero to compete at the iPPV Refuse to Lose (October 6) for the inaugural WCPW Internet Championship, which to my surprise was the brainchild of Eric Bischoff. For whatever reason, Jay Lethal will be unable to compete, so general manager Adam Pacitti went out to sign a free agent replacement.

That free agent is Alberto El Patron, and here is his promo.

Warning: Language not suitable for work or little perros.

I have no words to describe what I'm feeling right now, Newcastle. This is the reason, you are the reason why I decided not to stay in WWE. And you know I'm not lying because it was me deciding not to stay in that place because I was missing this. I was missing the love, the passion, the energy. And then people ask me why, why you decided to have your first match out of WWE in Newcastle. Why not Newcastle? Why not? Why not in motherf-king Newcastle!!!

The portion of the promo provided is more style over substance, but there is no denying that El Patron knows how to work a crowd. If you are only reading the transcription, it doesn't do the promo justice. He displays a babyface intensity that makes Alberto Del Rio fans wonder "what if" about his WWE career. You need to watch the video to see the intonations and crowd reaction. I imagine Alberto will have more to say and this was only a snippet of his full promo.

For those Paige-amaniacs out there, she, or someone who looks very similar, can be seen in an upper level next to the screen at the 1:23 mark.

Also on the episode will be Martin Kirby vs Pete Dunne and "The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks vs "The Mexican Sensation" El Ligero.

Does this promo make you want to check out WCPW Loaded? Are there any WCPW wrestlers you want to see compete with Alberto? Perhaps a bout with his barroom brawling buddy Drew Galloway?

(Shout out to YouTube commenter DGZ Music for pointing out Paige and to YouTube itself for recommending the Alberto video while I was watching an old episode of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson with guests Barry Manilow, Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, and David Letterman. I have no idea what the connection is, but thank you YouTube.)
