After Joey Styles made an inappropriate Donald Trump joke during an EVOLVE broadcast, the company fired him. He apologized, and later offered up an explanation for it, but it did nothing to change any of his employer’s minds. Chikara parted ways with him in the strongest possible terms and now Beyond Wrestling has cut ties as well.
First, the promotion was asked what they were going to do about it:
Despite his unprofessional behavior I would like to extend him the professional courtesy of a phone call before making an announcement. https://t.co/AxCuZapIBg— Beyond Wrestling (@beyondwrestling) November 14, 2016
Then came the hammer:
Joey Styles will no longer be appearing at Sunday's live event in Worcester or any future Beyond Wrestling live events. Thank you.— Beyond Wrestling (@beyondwrestling) November 14, 2016
It might be a while before we hear from Joey Styles in pro wrestling again.
