Just days after Scott Hall was announced to be a member of Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling (GFW) roster, TMZ sadly reported that he had been physically escorted out of a wrestling event in New Jersey a week ago for being far too intoxicated to appear on the show. As is well known, Hall has battled substance abuse problems, particularly with alcohol, for close to two decades, although over the last couple of years he's been in much better shape after his friend Diamond Dallas Page intervened and helped him stay sober by bringing him to his home and having him undergo a strict regime of healthy living and DDP Yoga.

Dave Meltzer has now reported that GFW has quietly pulled Hall from their roster over the negative publicity of the recent incident where he was accused of being intoxicated in public:

"Scott Hall was pulled from the GFW shows that he was booked for due to the TMZ coverage of the incident where he was allegedly drinking. The decision was made when the story made the news. There are reports going around from people who thought he was pulled due to WWE, and that's not the case. "

It should be noted that Hall no longer appears on the webpage for the GFW roster.

GFW should be commended for their decision, as clearly Hall should now focus on regaining his sobriety and overcoming his demons, and he shouldn't perform on a wrestling show until these problems are adequately dealt with. We at Cageside Seats would like to wish Hall the best in his battles with addiction.
