Johnny Gargano lays down challenges for Wrestlecon

Dragon Gate USA's Open the Freedom Gate Champion, Johnny Gargano, responds to Shingo -- accepting his open challenge, and also challenging a big name to "Wrestlecon". Read all the exciting details, right here!

In the shadows of WrestleMania, many indie promotions will be putting on an event of their own: Wrestlecon. At this year's Wrestlecon, Dragon Gate USA's (DG-USA) Open the Freedom Gate Champion, Johnny Gargano, seeks to create a defining moment and cement his own legacy in doing so.

In order to accomplish this, Gargano has big plans for the two DG-USA cards at Wrestlecon:

For the April 6 card, Gargano sent an open contract to Japan. In a complete surprise, the one and only Shingo took up the challenge. Shingo has not been seen stateside for a couple of years and is making a huge splash with his return. A match with Gargano (arguably the best wrestler currently on the indie circuit) is an early front runner to be the match of Wrestlecon/WrestleMania weekend.

That's not all that Gargano has in store for Wrestlecon:

Gargano has laid down the gauntlet to Dragon Gate's Open the Dream Gate Champion CIMA for a six man tag match on the April 7 card. The match will pit a team from Dragon Gate (Japan) against Dragon Gate USA, each led by their respective champions. A great weekend just keeps getting better!

Anyone else as excited as I am about the return of Shingo to the United States? Who do you think Gargano and CIMA will select for their teams?
