Impact announces latest free agent signing for TNA

Impact is making moves for the return of TNA. At Final Resolution (Dec. 9, 2023), they announced the latest free agent signing. Mustache Mountain arrived, and Trent Seven signed his TNA contract.

Seven made a surprise appearance for an impromptu tag team match at Final Resolution. Earlier in the evening, the Rascals jumped Impact tag champs Ace Austin and Chris Bey. Director of Authority Santino Marella voiced his displeasure of those actions. Trey Miguel was originally scheduled for a singles match against “Speedball” Mike Bailey, but Santino switched to a tag team bout. Santino had just the person in mind to be Bailey’s partner.

With the Rascalz already in the ring, Bailey entered alone awaiting for the arrival of his teammate. Seven’s mustache logo flashed on screen to reveal his presence.

Bailey and Seven worked well as a team, however, the Rascalz were a step better. As the Rascalz set up Hot Fire Flame to finish, ABC entered on stage to create a distraction. The Rascalz took the bait to confront their enemies. Bailey took advantage of the moment for a springboard moonsault onto his opponents. Zachary Wentz was victim to a Burning Hammer from Seven and an Ultima Weapon from Bailey. Seven was victorious in his debut.

Afterward, Scott D’Amore entered the ring. Seven made quite an impression on the boss man over the years, so he was pleased to finally have the opportunity to offer a TNA contract. Seven signed on the dotted line.

Seven is a former tag team champion in NXT with Tyler Bate. That duo have held tag titles around the world. Seven was released from WWE in August of 2022.
