Fans of Jonathan Gresham now have a destination to watch him weekly. The former ROH world champion made a surprise return to Impact, and he also signed an official contract with the company.
Gresham last appeared on Impact Wrestling in April. After being jumped by Eddie Edwards as a mystery attacker in the Honor No More storyline, Gresham was set to wrestle Edwards at the Rebellion PPV. Unfortunately, injury put Gresham on the sideline, and that bout was canceled. Fast forward to Thursday night’s episode of Impact Wrestling for Gresham looking to settle unfinished business with Edwards.
Edwards was victorious in action against Delirious via roll-up. In the aftermath, Edwards extended his hand in peace for the Code of Honor shake. Delirious accepted. It seemed that Edwards was putting the past behind him. That was true in a certain way. He was actually burying the past. Edwards attacked Delirious with a Die Hard Driver then tried to reveal the masked man’s identity.
That’s when Gresham arrived on the scene. The Octopus came out on stage looking to protect Delirious. Edwards backed away.

That’s great to see Gresham back on screen plying his technical trade. Edwards is a good first step as a grudge match. After that, let the countdown begin until we are treated to Gresham versus Josh Alexander for the Impact World Championship. No matter how long that story takes to develop, it is one fans want to see.
