Slammiversary was full of surprises with appearances from Chelsea Green, No Way Jose, Thunder Rosa, and Mickie James. Impact Wrestling carried over the momentum particularly in the Knockouts division with Mickie James looking to make things right with Deonna Purrazzo and Taylor Wilde returning to help Chelsea Green. Let’s run down Impact business involving these wrestlers.
Mickie James returned to the Impact Zone to smooth things over with Deonna Purrazzo after superkicking the Knockouts Champion at Slammiversary.
James again tried to recruit Purrazzo to join the lineup for NWA’s Empowerrr all women’s PPV on August 28. Purrazzo wasn’t falling for Mickie’s self-serving praise for the Knockouts Champion.
Gail Kim entered the scene to convince Purrazzo to think of the bigger picture for her legacy. The champ won’t want to miss being a part of history. Purrazzo accepted the offer and shook James hand.
No opponent was mentioned.
Chelsea Green was back in the ring after winning her mixed tag bout with fiancee Matt Cardona against Tenille Dashwood and Brian Myers at Slammiversary. Green’s match on Impact Wrestling was a trios affair with Jake Something added to the good squad and Sam Beale added to the rogue side.
The finish saw the return of former Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde. She had gone missing with no explanation. Wilde came back to make sure Kaleb Konley did not interfere on behalf of Dashwood. That led to Green hitting the Unprettier to pin Beale.
The final mention for this list belongs to the Drama King. A vignette played at Slammiversary which had many assuming Aiden English was behind the gimmick. The Drama King’s second vignette aired on Impact Wrestling.
Are you excited to see Deonna Purrazzo cross through the Forbidden Door into the NWA? Who would you like as her opponent? Does the Drama King vignette grab your interest?
