Chelsea Green returns to Impact as Matt Cardona’s surprise partner at Slammiversary

One of the surprises for Slammiversary was revealed to be a Hot Mess. Chelsea Green returned to Impact as Matt Cardona’s surprise partner against Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood.

The story had all signs pointing to Green as Cardona’s fiancee to get payback against ex-girlfriend Tenille. The obvious choice of Green was a bit cloudy due to her debut in ROH last weekend and her injury status. Nonetheless, Green appeared before the rowdy crowd. She displayed a mix of characters between herself and “Hot Mess” Laurel Van Ness.

Green was medically cleared by Impact’s doctor. She wore an arm cast in the ring and that paid dividends for the finish.

Tenille tried a callback to her low blow to Cardona last week. She did it again tonight, but Cardona was wearing a protective cup this time. Cardona shoved the cup in Myers’ face. The noxious fumes made Myers dizzy and set him up for Green to pounce with a Canadian Destroyer.

Cardona took out pests Sam Beale and Kaleb Konley with a flipping leap over the ropes down to the floor. Back in the ring, Tenille tried to score an Unprettier. Green escaped then used her cast to low blow Tenille. That allowed Green to connect on an Unprettier of her own to win.
