Private Party & Matt Hardy interference leads to triple threat tag title bout at No Surrender

Private Party has a date set on February 13 to compete against the Good Brothers for the Impact tag titles at No Surrender. Unfortunately for them, Matt Hardy’s special plans just made the path to gold more difficult.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were in action on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling (Feb. 9, 2021) to defend the tag titles against Chris Sabin and James Storm. Hardy and Private Party came out to observe from the stage. As Sabin and Storm had momentum, Private Party decided to interfere as a ‘screw you’ to the challengers who cut in line

Impact EVP Scott D’Amore was not pleased with the shenanigans, so he added Sabin and Storm to the tag title match at No Surrender. D’Amore actually made some sense in justifying the triple threat as a way to prevent Sabin and Storm from interfering in retaliation.

The No Surrender card currently stands at:

  • World Championship: Rich Swann (c) vs Tommy Dreamer
  • World Tag Team Championship: Good Brothers (c) vs Private Party (with Matt Hardy) vs Chris Sabin & James Storm
  • X-Division Championship: TJP (c) vs Rohit Raju (with Shera)
  • Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz (c) vs Havok & Nevaeh
  • Triple Threat Revolver: Daivari, Suicide, Willie Mack, Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, Josh Alexander, & Blake Christian
  • Hernandez & Brian Myers vs Eddie Edwards & Matt Cardona
  • Cody Deaner vs Cousin Jake
  • Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, & Susan vs Jordynne Grace, Jazz, & ODB
  • Larry D, Acey Romero, & Tenille Dashwood vs Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, & Black Taurus

You may notice a new name in Impact on the match card. Black Taurus from AAA! Rosemary needed a third partner to compete against XXXL and Crazzy Steve, so she introduced Black Taurus as a member of Decay.

AAA fans know that this is an awesome addition to Impact Wrestling. Taurus is an ass-kicker supreme. Plus, he wrestles in a crazy bull mask.

No Surrender kicks off at 8 pm ET on Saturday, February 13. The show will be available through the Impact Plus app.

How does the No Surrender card look to you? Do you like the addition of Sabin and Storm to the tag title bout? Are you excited to see Black Taurus in an Impact ring?
